Just popping on while having a cuppa - little man is thankfully asleep!

Well done Grannynise on the multitasking. Gardening and FLYing!

Michelle - sorry you're feeling so down today. I know EXACTLY how you feel though. I sometimes have to let DS grizzle or cry away just to have some time out. You know it's just teething or whatever but it's still grinding.

Off topic but I find it so motivating to read about Michelle and tracy who are flying with babies. Not to mention all the others with older children or superwomen who FLY with both like maralum. Sometimes you feel like you're the only one struggling to tidy/declutter with the stresses of dealing with a baby. At groups no one admits that their baby is grumpy and doing their head in or that their house is a mess. On here it's real. It keeps me sane.

Sorry for off topic. But love and hugs to all

    Hi Sarah

    Welcome to FLYing!

I'm interested to see if anyone else has some suggestions for you. I used a feather duster to get most of the dust out as you've done but I don't know how you get those other pesky bits out.

I did read that you can put a few drops of essential oil (neat or diluted I'm not sure - I did neat) on the radiators so that when they're on the heat makes the smell waft around. I have started adding a couple of drops here and there for a subtle smell.

No rain here yet but it must be coming. Pants!

Also heading up for stardrops and bicarb of soda!!! This thread is great, really motivating (although I've just sat here for half an hour reading through it must get moving again!!!).

hi guys. Thought i would pop back in to say thanks. You always lift me up when i'm down there. And grannynise, sorry, had to laugh about your kitchen floor.

I think it's the little man's teeth, as i had a good look in his mouth and it looks like one of the top front ones are cutting through. Plus, he barely saw me at all on Friday or Sunday so he probably doesn't know where he is. It's just hard going while you are in the middle of it, and you think you know what's up but you aren't 100% sure.

He's had calpol and neurofen today, plus teething rings and biscuits, and he has cried himself out and now back in the cot.

I guess i am stressing more because of all the marking as well, which i am not getting through as quickly as hoped. I can't concentrate that well in the evening when i've had a day like today.

Anyway, going to grab lunch and get on while i can.

Hi guys :hello: Welcome to all newbies :)

Sarah You could try tying a wet sock to a cane/thin pole and dousing it with bleach/disinfectant, the size of the pole depends on the size of the gap, then give it a good old rub up and down see if that helps?

    Michelle Poor you (((((((hugs)))))))

It's blardy freezing where I am, had the heating on, winter woolies, and taped up all the stupid draughts I have everywhere, still not much better but better anyway, it is May isn't it

Done absolutely nothing as regards to flylady, done my dailes but mainly lounged about and I don't feel guilty one bit either  I'm chilling this week, and big brother starts tomorrow so I'll not be getting nowt done till it finishes in 13 weeks time :D Nice knowing ya ladies ;) Nah, I usually bomb around during the add breaks and do stuff, there's plenty of them

    Hello everyone,

Not a bad day today, considering all the children ive had here!!! Managed to dust/clean all the living room, although the kitchen is looking a bit messy (having 4 girls drawing and cutting out in there) so will need to sweep the floor later (worktops have been wiped down). Also made all the beds, and the childrens rooms are still looking presentable!!! My room is still the one letting me down, with all the ebay etc stuff in there, but i will get that sorted sometime this week.
Right, need to do something (maybe start on that ebay pile??!!)
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    I'm back!!!

Have been at mum's for a couple of days - she really should FLY, her life would be so much easier, but she's not having any of it.

Michelle, I'm with you in spirit babes, Freya has chronic wind (the botty end :o ) and is grumpy, so refuses to be anywhere except the breast. Very boring. As if that weren't bad enough, it now looks like Owen has chicken pox too! On half term, poor chap and now he's confined to the house.

Not flying at the moment, just maintaining. I miss my routine, but my little lass takes up a large portion of my time, so her needs have to come first.

Missing you lot even more than my lists, I never seem to have enough time to post any more, but I come in for a read every day, so rest assured, I'm listening if not speaking.

Right, it's 3.15, so I should probably get dressed! :rotfl: I saw my health visitor and the tesco delivery man in my very slightly whiffy dressing gown :o . Oh well, at least my house was clean ;) .

Hello all! Got lots done today. DS slept in (he had 13 hours  - don't think he got much at camp over the weekend  ). He then *needed* the laptop to do his homework. We had lunch together, and he's now gone out to see his friends.

On Friday, he went to a friend's after school and they took him to camp. They brought his school stuff round this morning, and had washed his PE kit - how kind :T

    So, my list:

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
    [/STRIKE]Level Two
    [STRIKE]Clean floors
Clean cupboard door fronts and the front of appliances
Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe dining table (clean table cloth if necessary)[/STRIKE]
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Wipe window sills, clean any marks off windows if required
[/STRIKE]Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky
[STRIKE]Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front
Clean oven if you didn’t do it last week [/STRIKE]
    Declutter mission task
[STRIKE]Sort any cupboard, doesn't have to be in the kitchen/dining room, even if it's just for 10 minutes [/STRIKE]

Tuesday Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Level 1
    Vacuum floor and sofas
    Level 2
[STRIKE]Dusting and cobweb removal (if you want to dust round things that is fine)
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
    [/STRIKE]Wipe light switches and banister
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
    Level 3
    [STRIKE]Clean window
Clean any other glass like mirrors etc
    Tidy shoes, coats and bags
Vacuum under furniture (only if you won't hurt yourself doing it, don't want any injuries)
    [/STRIKE]Declutter mission task
Clear one hotspot of your choice, even if only for 10 minutes - done more paperwork

    Internet banking - done
    Bills - paid
Downstairs loo and sink - cleaned
New mirror - put up and polished
    Microwave – cleaned
    Hob – cleaned
    Recipe folder – sorted

See you all later, Penny. x

Just had a read of the thread:

Michelle, sorry you're feeling down. Try and get some rest - can the marking wait?

Sarah, I have a *flatmate* from Lakeland to clean behind radiators. It's also useful for under the fridge, and under the furniture (we have wooden floors throughout - no fitted carpets). I also sprinkle fragranced oil onto balls of cotton wool and drop them between radiators to give a fragrance into the room. I also discovered Yankee candle *tarts* recently. The candles themselves are very expensive, but the tarts are £1.60. You put them into an oil burner with a night light underneath. The best lasting fragrance I've ever had.

Catowen - you've done a fab job with all those small people :T

Grannynise - :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: about your *inside lawn*

    Penny. x
