Hello all,
I'm Muppet (aka Pam).
Having walked out of my job the week before last, I spent last week with you all but remained anonymous. I found the Flylady posts to be an enormous help in my quest to be a domestic goddess whilst enjoying time at home.
Decided to be brave and come out into the open, so hello to you all.
As it is a BHol, my other half is at home so he has been helping me with the chores which is much appreciated.
Looking forward to a week which should leave me feeling organised and on top of things. Not a feeling I have very often.
I have to admit though that I think I could get to like this being at home lark. I have never been out of work in my 30 year working life so this is ra really scary time for me. I had better not get to like it too much:eek:Thank you for this site :jNow OH and I are both retired, MSE is a Godsend0 -
Good morning everyone.
I am all alone at home today as DH is at work and crazy sons went camping yesterday. I don't think our weather has been so bad as some have had and they haven't returned drenched yet! I sneeked out at about 5.30pm and when I got home lights were on all over the house and porch and front doors were wide open, half the kit they had packed was tipped out on lounge floor, and no one at home. We are lucky we live in a quiet area and no one had been in. I will have something to say to them when they get home. I am off to S and S upstairs bathroom and boys bedroom while they are away. Might leave kitchen til later.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Welcome Muppet, I am at home full time now after 23 years as a teacher and I love it. Still not properly organised though, but working towards it. I wish I knew about flylady when I was working full time as I might not have been so overwhelmed by every thing I was trying to do.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Welcome Muppet, Wow, brave move! Leaving work I mean, not joining the lovely folk on here:rotfl: I hope you find it useful.
Welcome back Traceyg and Penny too.
Poohbear, that was a lucky one! Maybe you should've hidden their stuff and played innocent?!
My trip to Town is off now. There's a free festival in Newcastle today and I don't think the Baltic is accessable. I only recognise two of the bands playing and don't fancy getting soaked with a bunch of teens. Plan B (once I'm dressed) is cooking for the week with whatever's left in the house. In my lovely clean kitchen - everything done that needed doing this week.

Afternoon all
Better day today - still chilly but not raining - so I've got a load of washing on the line.
Kitchen: I've wiped down tops and fronts and I vacuumed last night.
I spent an hour this morning sorting paper work and doing a load of shredding. Recycling bin full ready for tomorrow. I must remember I've got a bag of stuff in the shed to put out too.0 -

scaredy cat - yay for getting 1500 words done, I can't write essays, thankfully I only had to write 2 in my entire 3 years of uni, I guess that's the nice thing about Engineering degrees.
Had a bit of a go at "him indoors" on saturday, he wasn't helping at all with the bathroom, so complained that he was the one who wanted out, so he should damm well help out. Not sure whether it did the trick or not, but atleast I got to vent my anger. All week he's done nothing but go on about how the house over the road is up for sale at only 10k more than we paid for this one and that it has a conservatory yadda yadda yadda. Why the hell he's so bothered I have no idea, it's not like he's the one that spent all the money on getting the electrics done, the kitchen done, the heating done, I paid for all of that - grrrrrrr.
Anyway, I've painted the 3rd coat on the ceiling in the bathroom today, I'm hoping that's the last coat, just need to do a bit of a touch up around the edges, and then paint the glosswork. Must also remember to order the new taps. Then it's up to him to get on with his bits, like fitting the taps, re-sealing the bath, fitting new fan and re-tiling.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0
