Right, I've managed to make my second application online now (by not logging on, which it wouldn't let me do last week). Question, it asked if I wanted to register for internet banking, so I selected no, as it wanted passwords etc, which I've already got as I'm already registered for internet banking. Should I have answered yes? Hope this won't stop me from being able to view it along with my other Halifax & BoS accounts.
I'd like a 3rd account too and to apply as you did to save the 20 questions and script. Be interested to see if you get online by selecting 'no' as you already have internet banking as I do.

Opened all mine over the phone, but said "No" when they asked if I wanted internet access, within 24 hours they all appeared on my Halifax account :)

As a bit of an aside, regarding link between BoS and Halifax, I have Halifax internet banking login details, and another set of internet login details for BoS. Fair enough. If I log into BoS to set up or change mobile alerts it says I can't with a message: We're sorry, but you don't have any accounts that are eligible for the Mobile Text Alerting Service. But if I log into Halifax and I can set up/change alerts for both Halifax and BoS accounts!

Just wondering if it has to do with Debit cards (or lack of). I cancelled Halifax card and did same for the first BoS account (it fact that put some sort of block on the account preventing payments out online which was eventually removed). I do have a debit card for the second BoS account, not used except to change the PIN (which I've forgotten now).

typistretired: Did the two additional BoS accounts that you applied for online ever materialise? I've had to go through the most long winded procedure to open my first Vantage with them, and finally it's up and running. I'd now like to apply for 2nd and 3rd, but when I log on and click on open a current account, a message comes up saying that they're unable to offer me further current accounts (no application page is offered to me). Did you make your online applications whilst logged on or not?

Only the first one I set up online materialised, the other two didn't. So I rang them and set up the other 2 accounts on different days which it is the rule according to the person I spoke to!

Have just applied for 3 Lloyds Advantage online by not logging into my Halifax account but applying as a new customer for the classic account with advantage. Cleared all cookies etc after each application. Will log into Halifax account tomorrow and see what has been opened. Cleared my Santander esaver5 today down to £ as it dropped from 3.15% to 0.50% so delighted to have the 3 BOS and 3 Lloyds Advantage plus Nationwide to take up some of the savings.

Lloyd's accounts do not show when logged onto Halifax online banking
Only Halifax and BoS accounts show.
You need an online banking account with Lloyd's in order to see your accounts with them.

So I have to wait until the paperwork arrives before I can check if they have been opened!!!

Started to transfer from Santander esaver (3.15% ending in a few days), and santander blocked my account after the first 2 transactions ! (blocked for 24 hrs).
Good that they notice/have the security, but so much for the Santander in branch comment of "£100k is OK"QUOTE]

I arranged all my payments yesterday to be transferred today from Santander as rate goes down today. Did another £1 transfer test yesterday to check okay. All the transfers arrived safely in all accounts today.
