Bank of Scotland Classic Account

I opened a Bank of Scotland Classic Account and turned it into a Vantage account. Now I want to open two more when I log into my account and click open an account it states in the conditions that to apply I do not have a current account with them. Tried ringing them no joy put through to online help desk told to ignore the condition but when I tried to apply you have to complete a new application form is there an easier way?

    I've seen on other posts that other people have had to open their 2nd & 3rd accounts by 'phone as it wouldn't permit online.

    I don't suppose they mentioned a landline to contact as I don't want to use their 0845 number

    I've had a look on BoS website and found 0131 339 2573. HERE's the link (right at the bottom of the list of telephone numbers, for "if calling from abroad").

    This is the crucial part -

    I proceeded and applied for second account which went through fine :)

    I made applications to open 2 additional accounts online and they were confirmed online but not linked to the account I already have with them. Rang them up on 0131 339 2573 number as the 0800 056 0035 was only 9-5. Told them what I had done, they passed me to another operator who opened 1 classic vantage account for me (didn't say anything about other applications showing) and gave me the account number etc which should show online tomorrow. It seems you can only open one each day over the telephone (that's what they told me) maybe they meant I had to ring back and speak to another operator to open another account. (37 minutes of sales talk is enough for me today) As I am only setting up for the 18th June when my Santander esaver5 interest rates drops I've got time to wait and see what happens to the 2 accounts I applied for online. They told me I couldn't change my username would have liked it to be the same as my Halifax. Tried signing into BOS using Halifax ID etc but it wasn't having it. Not to worry I can view my BOS accounts when I log into Halifax.

    used this number today for my 3rd account - just ask to get transferred to new a/c opening section

    saves 20 mins a paying for a phone call.

    re the £1000 pay in each cal. month, to each account. How do people do this.Do you set up a standing order through each account ? Seems the easiest way rather than doing it manually. Surely BoS and lloyds will get wise to this soon and stop/reverse it...
