Evening,
I've spent a bit more than I would have liked this weekend but not gone over budget so it's fine. I think I have £5 left for the tin but better than nothing:)
Yesterday we went to the auction and didn't get anything on the list, we were out bid on everything, dh did however, go a bit crazy and brought a vintage sewing machine:rotfl: it s rather beautiful but I've no idea what we're going to do with it. It was really good fun though and loads of really great stuff, we'll definitely be going again:T
Today has been a busy day, the winners of our kitchen cupboards came to collect it this morning, we got £16 for it but they came and dismantled it and took it away, they might also be interested in the rest of the cupboards that we will be getting rid of in a couple of weeks:T We made almost £100 this week on eBay which is great:j
Dd2 had a birthday party at the wacky warehouse to go to this afternoon so I took dd1 along and spent a quite a bit there buying food and drinks. I re-gifted one of dd2's Christmas presents that she already had so I had to wrap it up in secret:rotfl: she was very suspicious about what was in it. I have 2 free passes for the wacky warehouse that I need to use up this week so I may be there again tomorrow, will be sure to take drinks and snacks if I do go.
I have done an online shop tonight to get all the things I can't get at aldi, hopefully I can get away without doing a weekly shop this week, I'll just get milk and fruit if I need to.

Hello,
Today I logged onto my mortgage account for the first time this year and noticed that Nationwide have made some very welcome changes to their syste, I can now see my total mortgage owed and the total amount over paid which will save me doing lots of calculations every month :T in the last year we paid off over £12000 from the balance including regular payments which I am so pleased about and has given me a boost of motivtion to carry on saving as much as possible this year:money:
This morning I took the little ones to the wacky warehouse using free passes so we had a nice cheap morning, I just brought a cup of tea and some chocolate buttons. Ds was so excited when we got there bless him:) this afternoon dd had her first ballet lesson back since the Christmas holidays and we have mislaid her bag with her shoes and leotard in. I practically ransacked the house looking for it but it hasn't turned up:( dd was ever so upset and if we can't find it by next week then I'll have to buy her new stuff:mad: it's soo frustrating, where does all the lost stuff go?
I made some yummy blueberry muffins this evening using stuff that we had in, The cupboards are pretty bare at the moment and I'm going to struggle to make the packed lunches tomorrow, I might need to nip to the shop first thing in the morning. I'm thinking about making and freezing sandwiches to prevent this happening. Has anyone tried this? At least they'll have a muffin and some grapes
Tomorrow I must clean out the chïckens and I might see if I can persuade dh to go through December finances, I really want to know how much we spent on Christmas and if we have any of the budget left over:D

Sandwiches are fine to freeze just avoid anything that is delicate ie salad. the basics tuna, egg, cheese and ham are all fine.
Could dd's bag be in a lost property somewhere or picked up by accident by another mum who has the same bag. Hope you find it
Your doing well on your de cluttering nearly half way through.

When my shopping is delivered tomorrow I'm going to make a big batch of ham sandwiches for dd2, she was most upset this morning to not have them. Luckily she only needs a packed lunch 3 days a week so I should be able to put a couple of weeks supply in the freezer:T
Unfortunately the ballet bag wasn't handed in (it's only a village hall so no lost property) and I made the bag so no one has the same:( I'm hoping it's in the house, buried under a pile of rubbish.
Today has been mixed day for spends. We had a pile of logs delivered which cost £85, it is budgeted for though and it's great to have a fire going again. I cleaned the chickens out and we finally got around to getting to the tip so everything is looking a lot better:T I went to buy fruit and veg from the green grocers and spent £13 in there, that will probably only last a few of days as I think the kids are trying to eat us out of house and home:rotfl:
I need to put into a few collections soon for new babies and birthdays, I don't have a clue how much to put in:eek: I don't want to look stingy but it's not close friends athough I do see them pretty much every day and go out socially etc....dh thinks £10 pp I'm not sure though:o

It's been a funny old day today, earlier on I was feeling pretty overwhelmed with the state of the house and i just felt like curling up on the sofa and eating biscuits, luckily I didn't have any biscuits in the house so I couldn't do that:rotfl: so I picked myself up and started methodically working through the chaos, I've mopped, vacuumed, filed and de cluttered so I'm feeling slightly better now, although there is still a lot to do:eek: I'm sure I used to be so much more organised than this!
It's been a LSD in terms of cash taken out of my purse as I only spent £2 on playgroup today but I've just spent £90+ on kitchen cupboard handles:eek: it could have been a lot worse though as there were some lovely handles that we're £16 each...only thing is I need 41:eek: obviously I have gone for a much more budget friendly handle:money:
My online grocery shop was delivered today and I managed to get 4 tins of tomato soup for 75p as as substitution and also our free bottle of champagne that shall be saved until dh has finished his treatment and is feeling better:T
Dh and I have come into a little bit of money and we have decided not to put it towards the mortgage or the kitchen, we are going to get a new porch and front doors. Our front door opens straight into the lounge and it is freezing as the doors are ancient and very drafty. We have enough to pay for this outright and will be a good investment as it will definitely save our heating bills, let alone giving us some much needed storage space for coats, bags and shoes etc. so tomorrow we are off to look at doors etc for that:T bit by bit we are getting our house ship shape:T

How fab, the porch will pay you back tenfold, I'm sure.
It's so wonderful getting things how you want them
41 handles! I dream of the day I need 41 handles, I have about ten. :rotfl:a penny picker upper. 41 handles! Wow!!!! :eek:I have 28 in my kitchen - and I thought that that was a lot!:rotfl:
Definitely go for the porchI'd love one, but it would mean moving where a man hole cover is (ok, water inspection cover but a round one about 12-14" diameter)

We are having a lot of drawers which is why we need a lot of handles:rotfl:
My brain is hurting now as mr c and I have spent a lot of the day and all of the evening sorting out finances and number crunching:eek: we're all sorted out now and it's looking quite healthy:T
Today has been a NSD day, all we did was go to the window and door showroom and have decided on some lovely doors, we haven't ordered yet though, we'll hopefully do that early next week:T it's going to be a hectic couple of months but it will so be worth it when it's all done.
Tomorrow I'm off to the big city with a friend to get party supplies as there's only a week left until the party and still loads to organise. Ooh I just remembered I ordered dd2s birthday presents today, 2 princess outfits, a DVD and some Lego, just got dd1 to buy for now, she's going to be 10 and is very difficult to buy for:mad:
I'm off to bed now, my brain is very tired
