Have been reading your diary over the last few days and have just started my own wee diary, wanted somewhere to put my thoughts etc and i think my OH gets a bit fed up listening to me (although he is totally on board to get the mortgage cleared).
We are getting a new kitchen installed in 6 weeks, totally dreading it. I will hate the mess and disruption, however really looking forward to having a brand new kitchen as the one we have is falling apart. Starting to think about meals for the week, so will maybe steal some of your meal plans lol!!;)
Hello welsh mummy :j I will look out for your diary. Good luck with the new kitchen, what sort are you having? <nosy> I am absolutely hating the mess and feeling so cramped having everything in the living room BUT it will be so worth it when it's done. What cooking facilities will you have whilst your kitchen is being done? We have a microwave, slow cooker and electric teppanyaki grill and it's been ok so far. I've just done my meal plan for next week
Sun -? On toast
Mon - beef stew
Wed - baked potatoes
Thur- microwave fish + rice
Fri - chilli and micro rice
Sat - baked pots
Sun - burgers/ leftovers
I hope it helps you

Hello, it's been a busy day again and I'm feeling rather stressy. I think it's because I have hardly been in the house all weekend and I'm feeling  towards everyone. Dh has just brought me a glass of wine though:beer:
I finally got around to making my op this morning and I was surprised that I had £88 to op:T I'm hoping to do a lot better on the grocery spends this month, dh went to aldi today and got the few things we needed and spent £16 which is a great start to the month. My fab mil and sil also cooked us some meals to bring home today that we can microwave in the week, a stew and mash and lasagne:T

Thanks everyone :T I'm feeling in much better spirits today:D
Well done on the op thistlewhistle, I was really surprised with my op, it all depends on my grocery spends and I felt like I'd spent more than I did:o with feb being a short month I'm hoping to do well on shopping. I've got a few things on eBay too so fingers crossed they'll sell.
I had to bite the bullet today and order new ballet stuff for dd2 as the lost stuff is still...lost:( so that was £29 spent:eek: this week I also need to pay brownie subs and pack holiday money plus we have a meeting at school about the school residential so there is a lot of money being spent at the moment:eek: all these things seem to come at once.
I'm really proud of dd1 as she has been saving her pocket money and birthday money for ages and today she has finally got enough to buy herself a tablet so she has brought herself a hudl and case from tesco. I hope that as she has saved up for up she'll appreciate it and look after it well.:T
Tea tonight was mils's stew, was lovely and made for a much less stressful dinner time
Going to do some adpointing now

Evening,
I miss a day posting and my diary had disappeared to the bottom of page 4:rotfl:
It's been my first spend day of the week today as I took the little ones to soft play today to meet a friend, which was good but spent a bit more than I wanted to. I was hoping to not have to get myself lunch to save a few £ but I got hungry:o I'm off out to a garden centre to meet another friend tomorrow so will have to try my best to not spend on random stuff and lovely cakes:o I seem to have weeks like this every now and then when I have a lot of social things going on and then weeks when I do absolutely nothing, I think I might need to manage my calendar a bit better.
I also took the children to get their feet measured this afternoon, luckily dd1s feet haven't grown, ds's feet had grown a little bit so I didn't get him any and dd2 needed new shoes - £32:eek: I really loathe the girls shoes in Clarks so I hate shelling out for shoes I don't even like. Dd is thrilled with them though as they are bright pink and have flashing lights:eek: I'm going to look on eBay for some for Ds as I'm not spending £30+ on shoes he'll wear for a few weeks.
I just remembered I'm working at my friends shop on Saturday so that should earn me about £50, it will be going to the kitchen fund though, I'm getting very frustrated about not being able to pay all my extras off the mortgage but there is no point getting credit for things so I know I'm doing the right thing. Once we've stopped paying for things and we can see where we stand hopefully op's will be back to normal.:T

So did you end up getting a cake at the garden center?
I know I couldn't resist!
Eek at the shoes - they are something that you need to get good ones of but are never cheap. At least the other two didn't need a pair yet.Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

I hated trips to the shoe shop when my son was younger as was forever needing shoes, he has very wide feet so had to buy from Clark's, thankfully his feet growth has slowed down he has had the same pair of shoes for school since August.
When our kitchen is getting done we will only have a slow cooker and microwave to use for meals, my mil has offered a loan of her small electric oven/grill. Planning on stocking up the freezer with meals that can be heated up in the microwave. Hopefully my mil might take pity on us and offer to have us round for a meal or 2.
When will your kitchen be finished? We have been told that we should be around a week and a half, with a semi workable kitchen after four days - dreading doing the dishes in the bath!MFW - currently at £23,610 (Aug 2014) MFD 20200 -

No I didn't I was very good. I just brought a couple of coffees, grand total of £3.90 :A
Welsh mummy we're hoping to have a useable kitchen by the end of next week and then just the tiling and flooring to do. The kitchen was delivered yesterday but they won't start fitting until tue/wed which is very frustrating. There is hardly any room to move in the house now, it's a nightmare. I hope your mil will feed you, it really makes a difference. We had a take away last night as I was so fed up of cooking being a battle.
Well Ds was supposed to be getting his hair cut this morning but the road to the hairdressers is flooded so we can't get there without a massive detour, so it's rearranged til later in the week. I'm so fed up of this rain now, and I feel so sorry for people whose homes are flooded:( having said that it's a bright day out so I might try putting the washing out :T
Not sure of the plan for this morning yet but this afternoon I'm working in my friends shop:T it'll be good to have a break from the chaos of the house:T
Just watching the winter Olympics this morning which is amazing!
