Thanks thistlewhistle, I'll search you out:)

I've not had much time to get on here lately so I have a lot of diarys to catch up on, it's very hectic here at the moment, but what's new:rotfl:

The kitchen installation is in full swing and we now have gaping holes in the ceiling where the new lights are going to be:eek: I didn't anticipate the amount of dust that would get absolutely EVERYWHERE!! My skin feels dry and everything is covered in layers of dust, I've vacuumed today just to make me feel better, even though it did very little to help the situation. Other than that it's going well :D food wise we're coping ok. We went out for a meal last night as It was the dd's birthday and tonight we had baked potatoes. Tomorrow I'm going to do a stew in the slow cooker:T

There isn't much :money: going on at the moment, I know it's budgeted for but it feels wrong to be spending so much. Where possible we are buying on our clubcard credit card to get the points and going through TCB so we are doing the best we can:T mr C and I are going to go through the spreadsheet tonight to make sure we're on track with the spending.

I can't believe it's the last day of January tomorrow. I will have a very small OP to make when I have worked out what's left, hopefully about £50 but I'm not sure yet.

Just a quick update, the kids got a couple of disney DVDs recently and in the leaflet inside is a Disney rewards code, I logged onto my account and with the new codes we have enough points to get a free DVD so I've just ordered the sword in the stone :T yay I love free stuff :D

Let us go on holiday Crumpets, hire a proper cleaning service and come back to clean houses :D

  • Oh Crumpets I know what you mean! In 2007, I had a leak inside one of my walls and the ceiling in the dining room had to come down (before it fell down!). It was that horribled slatted kind of ceiling, which released tons of dust and stuff. I got everywhere - inside cupboards, drawers - just everywhere. It even managed to impregnate the toilet roll which was very uncomfortable!!

    You have my sympathies!!

Yes please smlsave! That would be perfect, I'd love to come home to a finished and clean house:D

Not much happened today, I had a NSD, the weather was so awful I didn't want to leave the house. Instead ds and I stayed in and played play dough. Popped into a friends this afternoon for a cup of tea and for the little ones to have a play and then came home and that was it for the day.

I haven't had chance to work out my op today, I'll try and do it tomorrow. I need to pop to aldi tomorrow but only need a few things so I'm hoping to spend less than £20. I also need to pop to the library as I rented a DVD from them there yesterday but forgot to unlock the case so can't watch it:mad:

If the weather is good I'm going to go for a run in the morning :T my first one of the year:eek:

  • Just wanted to say hi

Have been reading your diary over the last few days and have just started my own wee diary, wanted somewhere to put my thoughts etc and i think my OH gets a bit fed up listening to me (although he is totally on board to get the mortgage cleared).

We are getting a new kitchen installed in 6 weeks, totally dreading it. I will hate the mess and disruption, however really looking forward to having a brand new kitchen as the one we have is falling apart. Starting to think about meals for the week, so will maybe steal some of your meal plans lol!!;)
