    So.....

This confirms what we always knew, that EAs ask for a bit more than they think they can get. And, in a few cases, the seller wants to speed things up, so they drop the ask a bit to move things on.

But is there anything new? Like a site based on actual selling prices dropping.

    Thought not.

I'd be gutted if I ever got the first asking price for a place I was selling! It'd mean I'd put the place on at too low a price.

Are you a prospective FTB my friend?

And are you in a hurry my friend?

Do you long to hold dinner parties of your own my friend?

    Tell me.

What is your situation and why do you favour this correction you speak of?

I'm sure, like any sane person, he/she wishes for prices to return to normal levels, not the !!!!!! game of monopoly we are currently witnessing being played by fools with access to a credit card

Why the interest from you? enslaved for the rest of your life by a pile of bricks you now see is pathetically overpriced?

You are somewhat mistaken my friend.

The pile of bricks you refer to is my home.

And since I have no mortgage and am never selling, it matters not to me if the monetary value of my house drops to zero.

It will still be my home.

The remainder of my portfolio is in a similar comfortable position.

Only those who are unaware of the banker's secret need fear my friend.

    Is that you my friend?

Do you know this secret of which I speak?

I have looked at houses in my area and the biggest drop is 15% and generally it is only 1 or 2% not a figure that I would worry about. In fact I would consider this to be pretty normal.
