Is their a website that shows houses which made more than the asking price.

    http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/05/09/sports/bxgazump.php

This is a recent article showing gazumping is still prevalent in the market - and also shows the London market picking up once again - just wait for the ripple effect.........

We are very unlikely to see a property crash given the much greater demand for housing than there is supply. The webbie the OP has highlighted merely shows the level of greed some people would like to obtain, but have to reduce prices to a realistic figure, even in todays market.

yes they may be down from their original selling price, but are the selling prices still up from last month?

also makes it seem a lot worse, when a house is on the market with 4 agents, makes it look like 4 different properties have lowered! doh

    4 agents & dropping the price - I'd go for 25% under:money:
"Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.
"I think I'll become an alcoholic," said Betty.

I browse rightmove often and see the same houses again and again, not shifting! theres one round the corner that has been on the market for months and the asking price has been reduced bit by bit and is now 25k under its original asking price! from 210k to just under 185k

And that is just one local example!

Down an average of 9% in my area :T

Another interest rate rise looks almost certain in either June or July (and there is a chance it could be a 0.5 hike this time too!) - wait another couple of months till these 'bed in', then sit back and watch the chaos as the stupid buy-to-letters get their comeuppance! They will run for the exits in their droves, but by then it will be too late.

The crash started last month people... Sentiment has shifted, but It will take another couple of months before the majority realise it's here.

The stats tell us there was a tiny rise in prices last month, but when you take London (and perhaps the South East) out of the equation, prices are falling as we speak!!
