Saved another £10 of grocery shop for next week, £20 in pot in two weeks. Needed refill for two hand wash containers, dont like cheap stuff as it makes my hands sore but bought large bath cream at reduced price of 75p and filled both up. This has very nice smell and soft on hands. Saved £2.25.

I have decided to buy for myself a portable flat screen tv with DVD player for bedroom. This will be nice in winter and should have enough dosh by then.
Bought some lean mince on offer and made a spag bol and lasagne. The lasagne lasted us two days and was very tasty. The meat cost just £2, what a bargain. Getting into the habit of thinking before buying, that is all it really needs to save money.:j

    Well done Irishwexford

I have very sensitive skin and can't have perfumed stuff. Used to buy Simple soap but found Tesco do their own pure veg soap for 24p - saved a fortune cos it last 10x longer than the pump hand soaps. They also do an aloe vera one for the same price. :D

OMG! I've had a bit of a paperwork purge and found cheques totalling... get this... £444.00 :eek: I knew I had them, I just didn't realise how many or exactly how much.

That's enough to cover the holiday and pay for our trip to Vinopolis later this summer.

I'm so chuffed... my next target is Christmas savings!

Will update my sig when I've been to the bank and worked it all out properly.

Roll on July - June has been really profitable - previously I'd just have paid the cheques into the bank and frittered them away on nothing. It's so good to have some focus and purpose.

We have just got a refund from our dentist so £64 going into pms pot!
Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

  • Sorry for sounding really naive and new but what exactly is Pin money - is it just what you have left over at the end of the day
