I think I can probably get away with the next meat order and an extra £80 for other bits and pieces. Hopefully I can bring the shopping in this month for £460 instead of £520.The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 10

Hello everyone
Well finally found some PMS money, not doing well here lol. Spent a M&S voucher and Waitrose voucher buying some groceries and managed to get some change, £ 0.65p so have put that and £ 0.02 I picked up towards my "PMS" pot, so a slow start, but hey am waiting for some money, hopefully I will sell some stuff on ebay. Keeping my fingers crossed!
Thanx

Money is extremely tight for me, so haven't got two pennies to rub together, ok, maybe two I picked up. So am really proud of every penny I manage to put together, am also doing some mystery shopping next week, so hopefully that will be £ 10 to add in another 4 weeks when I get paid only.
Cheers

Queried our insurance renewal quote thinking we would have a discount now we have off road parking, No we don't get a discount for that but when I said I was a housewife instead of unemployed the quote came down by £23.45`!!!! :j so now have some more to put in the pms pot.Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Can I join?
I'm planning on two changes to start me off.
Firstly - I always save spare change in a kar - now I'm going to put that into my PM account rather than just banking it at my normal bank
Secondly - vouchers and discounts for things that are needed, any savings go into the same account
I am not going to count savings on things that i want. Ie saving £30 on a dress for a summer party - I didn't NEED a new dress I just wanted it so I could have saved more money by not buying one at all!
My aim is to use the PM account to pay for Xmas.
btw does anyone have any good tips for anywhere that allows you to have seperate 'jars' in a savings account?DEBT: £500 credit card £800 Bank overdraft

:hello: Welcome to all new faces, pleased you've joined us
halia - I don't physically keep different accounts/jars for my PMS. I have one savings account where the money goes, but, I have an Excel spreadsheet where I keep a track of how much is for which 'pot'. For advice on the best account or if the sort of account you are asking about, you could try posting in the Budgeting and Current Account forum
Catznine - that's great :T On the insurance front ... my dh phoned to tell me he'd been offered a lower rate for being over a certain age - he was quite offended; dented ego methinks (until I pointed out the savings he'll make)
CTFG - sometimes it can be *very* hard to make 'actual' cash savings, especially when money is tight, so very well done on your start:T I think you'll be surprised at how it will grow. Also, don't forget to track any "virtual" savings. You may not save in hard cash, but, if you buy something for less than you expected (or normally pay) even if you haven't got the cash to show for the saving, it is still a 'saving' - so record it as a virtual saving. After all, if you've taken the time to shop around and get a bargain, it's worth recording. Again, I think you'll be *very* surprised how well you do!

I am loving this challenge Queenie and find each day I am looking for other ways to save.
Now what to do for todays savings?:think:Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.
