I'm in for the first time this month please! Broke myself in gently last month, so here's what I'm going to include - coupons, BOGOFs, change from shopping money, savings on shopping, tips from work, ebay, can anyone think of anything obvious and not too complicated I might be missing? DP and I have just booked weekend in London in August, so this will be going towards that. Have a great day, DebFriday April 9th 2010 the day I become Mrs Jones!

:rotfl: Sorry lil_me I imagined a baked bean can sized tin when I started reading that and then read the amount you saved in it (fanstastic amount btw) and suddenly imagine a HUGE cooking oil drum sized 'tin' :rotfl:
Tin is about 8 inches high, much wide than a bean tin aswell. I get them from the £1 shop, much cheaper than a terramundi, you can only open them with a tin opener so have to resist counting them all the time etc. This was the second one I have 'cracked' open for the holiday, first one had £600 before was full but did have more bigger coins in, was a lot of silver etc in this one.One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
JAMIE - :T That is GREAT news!! :T
dm1465 - not complicated nor is it *immediate*, but it is a fairly obvious one that sometimes gets overlooked .... do remember that if you pay your Poll Tax by DD, you will get two months effectively "free" (ie Feb, March) and I stash that away in my PMS pot
Well, went shopping today with my meagre week's cash budget. Didn't max out thoughPlus I've made PMS (virtual) of £6.97 :T If I get through the month under this strict budget, which is quite possible now I have a full inventory of the fridge/freezers/larder/stock cupboards, then I will have some "actual" PMS to add to my pot - I'm just not counting my chickens before they hatch
I do have a very healthy looking inventory though so I should do ok
BTW: Sainsbury's have 240 Tetley T-bags half price @ £1.89 at the momentNot a brand I buy usually, but it did seem to be an offer too good to miss
Keep up the good work fellow PMS'ers~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I'm doing my pin money as an ongoing thing to pay for those pots and stuff for the yard.
My gig budget is £10 a pop, and I aim at 2 gigs per week. Last night I only spent a fiver, and tonight I've decided to stay in. So, that's £15 towards my pot. I'm rounding it to the nearest £1 now, so put the odd 2p I had in a money box - one of the "shrapnel-saving" moneyboxes.spendy/she/her ***DEBT-FREE DATE: 11 NOVEMBER 2022!*** Highest debt: £35k (2006) MY WINS: £3,541 CASH; £149 Specsavers voucher; free eye test; goody bag from Scottish Book Trust; tickets to Grand Designs Live; 2-year access to Feel Amazing App (worth £100); Home Improvement & Renovation Show tickets; £50 to spend on chocolate; Harlem Globetrotters tickets; Jesus Christ Superstar tickets + 2 t-shirts; Guardians of the Galaxy goody bag; Birmingham City v Barnsley FC tickets; Marillion tickets; Dancing on Ice tickets; Barnsley FC v Millwall tickets0 -
I am joining in this month! Need to pay the dental bills!
So far this month I have cancelled one of our veg boxes and made do on what is in the freezers and garden saved £14.80
Saved 40p on a tub of marvel, bought at poundland instead of sainsburys and been given 3 x 4 pints of semi skim milk to put in our freezer!:j so that will be a saving of about £3 over the rest of the month!
total so far £18.20
I made some blueberry muffins today from store cupboard ingredients instead of buying them so maybe can add the saving of 40p onto the total. Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Found a lottery scratch card (left over from Christmas) and won £1 so that's in the piggy bank! Bought 2 bags of anya potatoes (my favourite) for 30p each (normally £1.99 each! so a saving of £3.38 :j Got 40p of my soya yogurts using a coupon and saved £20 by buying a budgeted for kitchen trolley off ebay!
Total saved today £24.78Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

WTG catz, dm and spendy!!! :T :T :T
Catz - that scratch card was a real bonus! I'd heard they have a "shelf life" when it comes to claiming and have thrown away a couple I found in a little used handbag - really should have at least *tried* to cash it in I suppose! I'll know in future, so thank you :T
I've made a saving this week (aside from the car  ) I was talked into joining a gym with my friendSaved £6 per month simply by showing my student card :j :j :j
Foodwise, nothing new saved because we're living from the storecupboard/pantry/freezer.

My husband and 3 sons know only too well what PMS is in this house and all sons having steady girlfriends
Does it really stand for present money saving?? That's the nearest I can come up with. Can you give me the basis of the challenge please.:wave:0
