WTG Catz :T :T You are doing so well!!!
Ok, just tallied up my PMS from my mini shop on Saturday. Last week I received 3 letters with money off coupons inside. I planned a trip to Sainsburys for late in the day. I'm living off the pantry/freezer, but as the freezer runs down, I needed to fill it with breads to economise on fuel consumption. I knew if I went to Sainsburys around 6pm I'd get some yellow stickered breads to fill the void.
Using the coupons, plus items with 33% extra free, plus yellow stickered items, the result = £13.86 :j
Mainly accrued from breads reduced down to 20p a time.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well done everyone so far! The challenge is going well for me aswell although shan't have the extra bonus to boost the funds I got last month! So far have managed to get the PMS pot up to about £8 and I've got a couple more bits to add in. Have spent more this weekend as went to Dorset but it was all accounted for and every spend was reasonable [eg found clothes on the reduced £5 rail] Yesterday we went back to our local garden centre and picked up one of their lovely glazed pots for my SIL for Chrimbo and it was £3 instead of £6. Will also check my stash of books in my gift box as it's my sister's birthday next week before I go out and buy her anything and last Friday I found the small person a pair of trainers which were £8 instead of £16 in the sales so also chuffed about that! Unfortunately May and June are always the most expensive months of the year for me. Ah well never mind!

Wow Jamie! Well done! :T
Queenie - I am now dreaming of strawberries! Can't wait for the ones in the garden to ripen (they are taking their time though!)
I stopped oh from spending £400 on a personalised number plate! I fail to see the point of them myself!
Will that count as a virtual saving? or just common sense winning out over vanity!;)
Oh bought a book he has been wanting for some time in a charity shop today, in new condition for 32.99 which was £5 less than at the book shop! Just wish I could get him on board with the pms saving, it would mount up far more quickly!:DOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Oh definately a virtual saving, Catz! Naughty men wanting to splurge their hard earned
How would they survive without us? :T That'll be a £395 virtual saving then Catz, seeing as you were generous enough to let him splurge a fiver on his book *snigger, snort*
:rotfl:
I still, even now, boast of my savings to my dh - he chuckles and calls me the "commodity broker" :rotfl: After years and years of trying to teach him the fine art of money saving, he would still rather phone me and ask if he's getting a good deal and he's absolutely chuffed to little mint balls if he finds yellow stickered goods
Jamie, a TV is a good thing to save for, especially as the family will be united in the ultimate aim/goal - not to mention the fantastic lesson you are teaching them along the way! :T :T~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
