Wait till you do it with a baby. EVERYTHING changes :D

You should try getting out of the house with a 2yr old and 3.5 year old. Now that is mayhem!!!

I am sure you would manage just the two of you although i guess it would mean not being able to go on big rides etc together.

That would annoy me about them taking so long too! Thankfully i am quite like my parents so they were good holiday companions on our honeymoon.

Glad you are ok after your fainting episode! I didn't feel that much movement with Poppy as my placenta was attached at front and back! Felt a lot more later on though.

I have a feeling I'll be the same as you Wendz, I'll find out at my scan on Monday I guess. :)

Back at work today and not too impressed about being here! Was a bit of a shock to the system to wake up at 7; I've been having at least 10 hours sleep a night for the last couple of weeks, only got 7.5 hours last night! :o

So glad you're okay ROTE, must have been so scary for you :( My suggestion would be to just 50/50 your extra money. Half as extra off the debts, the other half for lovely days out or nights in with your family :)

Glad you're okay after your faint, Birdie! Did they give you a free biscuit at least? :D Will you still be staying in a hotel when you go with your LO or will you be getting a villa? I'm perfectly happy to sacrifice a little time and come as a baby sitter if your want ;)

Can't believe we're just a handful of weekends away from the meet either, time is flying! Who is it who's going, do we have any "new" faces?

Any tips for how to handle a Bridezilla who won't admit she's a Bridezilla? My Sister has actually gone insane, been so horrible to my Parents that they've decided they're not going and I'm having my doubts (although, travelling 6000 miles on my billyo to stay in a house of strangers didn't fill me with much joy to begin with) I get she's stressed because there's a lot more going on than her just getting married, but it seems like she's just wanting to cut all ties with us and start fresh over there. She's openly said she's not planning on staying in touch with our Brother, I'm trying my best to keep her happy but everything is turning into an argument right now. Even playing Chubby Bunny made her have a go at me because I wasn't paying attention and counting properly

I didn't get a free biccie Cinny! :( I did get a nice beaker of squash instead of plain water though, which was a bit of a treat! ;)

When we (hopefully) go to Disney we'll be looking to stay at an onsite hotel, we'll try to book next summer and get the free dining plan so most of the food is paid for, we'll probably hire a car but staying on site gets free parking in all parks ($14 a day otherwise!) and the whole resort is so baby/child friendly it makes sense! The only problem is that we've spoilt ourselves by staying in a deluxe resort and will be 'slumming' it next time in a more affordable one, worried it won't be as awesome! :)

I'm excited about the meet! :j Glad I've got my tickets already so it feels like a freebie trip out... thank you Past Birdie for sorting that! :)

Sorry to hear your sister is being a bit of a cow ATM. She'll have a lot on her mind as I'm assuming that she's staying there for life after the wedding and all that VISA stuff is very stressful and expensive but it's not fair for that to be taken out on you. :( It's so sad that you feel she'll cut ties with the family, hopefully once she's settled there she'll realise that you're all still so important to her and she'll stay in touch. It's a huge shame that your parents aren't going to the wedding though... I think if my parents couldn't have gone to mine I'd have been devastated and (irrationally?) angry so perhaps that's how she's feeling too and not dealing with her feelings too well?

    Hey Peeps

Hope you are all good. Lots more things going wrong in Lara HQ on a daily basis. I am laughing as otherwise I would be crying!

Big apologies but I'm not going to be able to make it to the meet. Mostly because I am just not feeling myself at the moment, and would probably be about as much fun as a pair of Nick Clegg sad face y-fronts:

See, it's not pretty :p But after my PhD is handed in I will be much freer and able to come to the next meet even if it's oop North.

((((((HUGE Hugs ROTE))))))) So glad everything turned out okay, and I hope that you can manage some super debt-busting.

Cinny, sorry to hear your sister is being a stress-head. I hope you manage to get through to her.

Birdie, hope you are keeping well and have a good scan.

Feeling just the same! :D I think the holiday will be better with a baby, and even better each time you go (if you keep going!) and seeing how they react to everything at different stages. Doubt you'll really notice the hotel!

Sorry to hear things aren't going too well your end Lara :( At least you know where we are if you want to get away for a day in October, I'd love for you to be there :) How did you even find those knickers?! :rotfl:

I am pinning it all to the stress of the move, there's not really anything I can do so I'm trying to not let it stress me. I just can't help but feel like she's ashamed of us.. I don't know. I just hope it all changes when she's out there, I think some distance will do the relationship with our Parents the world of good. And I hope the distance makes her feel awful for how she treated me in the last few months ;)

I know, they're amazing aren't they Cinny! Sorry to hear your sister's been mean to you for a while now. I hope it's just nerves and she will snap out of it soon.

Gutted you won't be at the meet Lara. And the other girls not able to make it (even though we're coming down to your turf for that very purpose!! :p). Hopefully you'll make it next time.

BTW, I'm sure if you put those pants on Lara, they'd cheer you up no end! Sorry things seem to be getting worse, is it Phd struggles or everything going wrong with life and home in general? I'm sure things will look up massively by the end of the year! :)

Cinny, I'm sure your sister will see the light once there's that distance between you all! :) My Mum's friend's daughter was always a bit of a cow to her parents and was clearly ashamed of them (they're lovely but have very broad Leeds accents and aren't the sharpest tools in the box whilst she's well spoken and very clever) but since she's moved to Australia (yep, other side of the world to get away from them!) she's become the most loving daughter to them! Absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that, the limited time she has to speak to them on Skype makes them all just talk about nice things and not wind each other up. Maybe that's what your sister needs to realise how lovely you all are really? :) With your parents not going to her wedding, is there no way one of them could go with you to give you some company and give your sister a little more familial support? At least that way you'll have someone to roll your eyes at when she's playing up to her OH's family! ;)

Sorry Birdie! It completely escaped my mind when i organised my weekend away :(.

Lara - hope all is ok.xx

Cinny - what a nightmare with your sister. I hope it is just moving/wedding stress and she calms down soon.
