Hello Mrs Shrimpy! Hope you're having a wonderful honeymoon!
Where are you now?
OH and I went to TGI Friday's on Saturday and I got quite panicked about the whole cake stealing situation before I realised that it had just been a dream!
Less than 2 weeks until our holiday :j I've got no idea what's happening with our friends, they seem to be together but barely spending any actual time with one another at the moment so who knows?! Guessing the holiday will be a bit of a make or break thing, I'm just going to focus on having a good time with OH rather than worrying about the state of their marriage.
Wendz, about Poppy's Christmas presents- on one of the blogs I read they say that their little girl always gets so many toys from family that they like to make her something unique and special (and fairly MSE too!) instead of buying her even more, would that be an option? Or just not really bother with too many presents if she's going to get loads from your family and use the saved money for some fun days out with her instead?Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Sounds like a good plan for the holiday
Have you started work wind-down mode yet? I have no idea how I'm going to adapt back to normal life! We're in Miami now until we fly back on Sunday, has been an amazing trip! I fed a monkey today and yesterday I held a baby alligator!
There was a thread on here a while ago about a lady who made a castle/fort type thing for her daughter for Christmas and it sounded amazing!!
OH just asked who I was 'talking' to on here and when I said "my internet friends" he advised me not to meet any of you in the park... oh dear! He's watching Top Gear so I think the honeymoon magic has officially worn off now!Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -
Sounds like you have had an amazing honeymoon Shrimpy! Feeding a monkey, how cute!
Haha about TGI Fridays Birdie, you will always be nervous there now. Definately just enjoy the holiday and forget about them.
That is a really good idea. Is difficult as i sway between not buying many presents and then i just want to spoil her. I am thinking this year i need to make an advent calender though!0 -

Honeymoon sounds wonderful Shrimpy! Hope your last days are fun-filled!
Oooh Wendz, definitely do an advent calendar for Poppy this year! You can buy nice keepsake ones to use every year so it'll become a tradition.
Has anyone got any nice plans for the bank holiday? We're not up to too much, going to a BBQ on Sunday and having a family picnic with my lot on Monday (let's hope Nephew's in a better mood than he's been in recently, he's been a right grumpy bum; coupled with the fact that he never stops moving and whinging that he wants to be moved about by whoever is holding him on a good day he's been hard work!).

Poor OH is working all weekend , he is working at notting hill carnival Sunday/Monday.0 -
Bless your little nephew Birdie. Poppy always wanted to move when she was little which is probably why she was crawling at 6 months.0
