I needed to find out the sex, I even went for a 4d one at 20 weeks. I am not good with surprises. And it was easier to shop around knowing she was a girl. I didn't put much weight on till week 25 but than suddenly 10 kilos was on me. How? I have no idea.0

TBH, I started out well over a stone heavier than I should be so I think I'm just balancing it out for now.
It'll pile on soon enough, I'm sure! I'll come back from my holiday looking like a beached whale!
Gutted about the weather forecast, so much for our day on the beach tomorrow! At least it's supposed to brighten up on Sunday so we might be able to go then, might end up stopping off at the Metro Centre and Ikea on the way up so we're not just sat around in the car looking at the rain all day!
Has everybody else got nice weekend plans?Hope you have a nice time with your Mum today Wendz.
ETA: Tete/Dinah/anyone else into photography: Any recommendations for a camera for me?! Need a new point and shoot (as much as I like the idea of a super fancy camera, I'd have no clue what to do with it!), maybe I'd be tempted by a bridge camera, I don't know? I want to take super clear photos, ideally HD video and want it to work quickly, none of this turn-the-camera-on-wait-10-seconds-attempt-to-focus-wait-5-seconds-oh-no-the-moment-has-passed that you get with some models! Looking to spend under £200 (as far under that as possible but willing to spend on something great). I just have no idea, honestly the last great camera I used (including borrowing various cameras from family) was on my old Nokia N8, before it broke! Tempted to just buy another but looking at £200 which seems a bit much when there must be better out there.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
For my money I'd buy a good Lumix, I've tried quite a few point and shoots through Vine and nothing has come close for me. You can change the settings based on the light ie sunset, nighttime, nighttime portrait etc and it produces really good results without needing to know anything technical about how a camera works. You can take panoramic shots too, and all I've seen have a Leica lens which = crisp photos. I've never really seen the point of a bridge camera as it's too big to easily take everywhere with you in your handbag, but you can't change the lens on most of them making it no good to take out in place of my SLR (and mine is about 5 years old so that's saying something!). Lumix point n shoot - burst shooting at full res, excellent zoom, HD video , 14mp and touchscreen. Bridge lumix - more zoom but I can't see whose lens it is and personally I'd prefer something handbag friendly to ensure I always have it with me. Second Dinah's comment. I've had two Panasonic Lumixes with Leica lenses now and wouldn't entertain buying any other point and shoot as long as they're in production. Really clear pics and excellent 'intelligent auto' mode. All my friends have them too, inc the one with the photographer husband
I think the weather is meant to cheer up for you on Sunday Birdie. I'm off to Newcastle tomorrow for shopping and lunching, rain is a bit of a pain but it was lovely yesterday for the Maize Maze so mustn't grumble. Whizzing through these day zero things now - nothing like a deadline (New Year's Eve) eh?! Aiming for 50 at this stageWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Oh good, thanks for the tips ladies, even better that you're in agreement!
Now to talk OH into thinking that it was his idea to get one!
Glad you enjoyed the Maize Maze Tete! One of my Day Zero things is to go to a Drive In movie, there's one coming up at Harewood House on the 25th but we can't go because we've already agreed to go to a friend's BBQ! Gutted!

Quiet on here! Everyone have good weekends? It's too long until payday for me or at least it feels like it! How's work going Dinah?
Traded my tesco points for train vouchers today so should make a few trips around and bout feel a bit cheaper! I love free (as in the sense that clubcard points are free if you know what I mean) stuff which is useful! Got no vouchers left though now and don't use tesco much either any more so that may be the end of a good thing!
How's everyone else doing? Any good news mse or not!? Are you going to get the camera birdie? I think the camera on my phone is good and has the bonus of always being in my pocket! Do your share options mature soon? Or have I got that way wrong?!0 -
We will be getting a Lumix, just deciding which one to get now as there's a bargain one for under £100 or do we spend a little more for some more features?! We had a look in person on Saturday and the difference in quality when just doing a quick turn-on-and-shoot snap between a Lumix and the other models is crazy! Such clear pictures, I was in love!
Sadly no share options maturing for 2 years Tink.I thought we had some coming out next year but looking at my payslip apparently not! Unless that one's coming out of OH's pay? I'll have to check *fingers crossed*. Future ones won't be anywhere near as much as what we got last year as we were both putting in £60 a month, for the others there's only one of us putting in £50 a month. BUT it's still a decent bonus to look forward to!
Great stuff using your Tesco vouchers for 'free' train travel Tink! I was going to use mine for Alton Towers tickets but it's a bit pointless going now so I'll have to think of another way to spend them!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Morning all,
My weekend was really nice. Went to the farm friday with my mum and sister which poppy enjoyed although she kept saying she wanted to get off the tractor trailor when we went on a ride lol.
Also went swimming on Saturday.
Great idea with the tesco vouchers Tink. I am using mine to get Poppy christmas presents with the double up thing. I know is not as good a deal as some others but saves me having to spend lots. So far got about £35 worth so £70 worth of toys. Not sure what we are going to get here this year, seems liek she has everything already.0 -
Hi ladies, hope you are all well. We're still away but OHis still spark out an I'm wide awake so thought I would take advantage of the free WiFi!
Birdie your dreams were hilarious! I only ever have really dull dreams about going to work and buying milk and stuff (not even joking). Glad to hear you're feeling good although eeek to the friend situation! Do you think they are hoping to get back together? How long until you go now?
Glad to hear work was ok too Dinah and hope you had a nice break, you've been a little quiet on here recently so hope all is well and it's because you've been doing too much fun stuff with Grace.
Jealous of the Maize maze Tete, been wanting to do that for ages!
