Nice to see you back Wendz, glad you had a wonderful wedding and honeymoon! You looked beautiful.

Just had an e-mail from my bank saying that they're aware of an old issue of people taking out money from a cash point but never actually receiving it, with a transaction from 2009 on there for £20 saying it'll be refunded with interest. So strange as this kept popping up in my head for ages after it happened and I was really annoyed with myself as I was never sure if I'd taken the money and lost it or left it in the machine for someone to take... nice to know that after all this time I'm getting it back!

Cinny, the problem isn't so much getting OH out of the flat for a few hours during the day (we're always popping out for little walks, visits to the shops, cafes etc) but actually getting away from home for a couple of days to feel like we've had a little break away from normal life. As it is, we're just going to have to think of something cheap to do this weekend that we haven't already done to death this summer!

Can you stay with friends birdie? Use their house as a b&b kind of thing? And return the favour later? I'm too scared to check my bank so don't know if I'm in the same bad position! Head in the sand eeek!
Congrats in your wedding Wendz!! Your pictures and dress look amazing you look beautiful (both of you! And poppy!) and so happy!! Random - I think you work at a similar place to my oh and I asked him about it and he said he thinks he emailed you last week about some work thing ha! No clue what you do mind and obviously he got an out of office but I thought it was just so small world! I might be totally wrong though and just someone with the same name!!

That is good news Birdie about the money. You would think they would have kept it quiet so that's good of them.

Welcome back Wendz, so glad you enjoyed your day and honeymoon. Would love to see some pics!

Cinny - theres still a couple of bits need sorting in the house, mainly the babies room, but its starting to feel like home now and actually feels like we have been here forever!

Hope you figure out something for the weekend Birdie, I don't know your area at all so unsure what to suggest - staying with friends sounds like a good suggestion though. Any more news on your holiday friends? Do you think it is completely final?

I'm trying to have a lie in today as I felt so super exhausted yesterday but I think I'm going to have to get up - too excited!

Don't be silly! You didn't sound bossy at all, I completely got what you meant Forgot to say I had the yellow teapot too, I equal parts loved and hated it because you could only have one room at a time and I'm naturally greedy!

That's so funny that Tink's OH may have come across Wendz IRL! I always wonder how many fellow MSErs we come across day-to-day without realising. There's a guy in my office that I've spied posting on the forums, I wonder what his user name is?!

Good idea about staying with friends but... there's not really anyone to stay with! I think OH's trying to organise a boys night now anyway so that'll get him out of my hair for the evening!

Latest news on the Holiday Friends- I'm confused! From him saying it's totally over, he was texting me last night asking me to put a good word in for him with her as he wants to give it another go and asking me to tell her that I really want her to come on holiday. He was also texting OH saying that he felt terrible and wanted things to work out but she's not making it easy... I just don't want to get caught in the middle of what sounds like a pretty messy situation! I don't think he wanted to hear what I had to say as he hasn't replied- I told him to think really hard about the holiday as it'll only work if they're both totally committed to being happy together, if one of them is going out of duty they'll resent it and it'll be a nightmare! Meh, it had to be said and TBH I wanted to say a LOT more!

I never had this yellow teapot, think there was one at my nursery though. I loved the Big Red Bus!

Sounds like your holiday could turn into a right nightmare if I'm honest, Birdie! If he's already using you two as a go through via text it'll just be 1000x worse when you're kind of trapped somewhere with them. You don't really want them having an argument on holiday and bugging you and your OH to help bridge communication with them. If that makes sense?
