She looks very very cute in the glasses Dinah and NIM - let's face it though, she's cute as a cute thing in cute land!0

Our little pink person has eye problems. Not exactly a lazy eye as it is not turned at all times. Apparently it swings back and forth trying to find a focus, but because the good eye finds it first the other gives up trying. They said that because the other eye is so strong the bad eye is coming weaker. They said that they need to fix her long sighted ness first as this has to be done before the age of seven. She is + 7 or is it -7? Either way not good. She has to wear a pirate patch for half an hour each day. We make a game of it, make pirate cakes, talk pirate with "pirate grandad". She even has a pirate voice which sounds like she is from Somerset, really funny.Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳

Longsighted is + (only know because I'm short sighted and my contacts have a big '-' on them). Grace is +5.5 but apparently that's in both eyes, confuses me as only one eye is lazy. I really wish we could go down the patch route, be much better if she had something she couldn't just pull off!
So peeved at ebay right now. Bought a suit last week, didn't pay for about 36 hours, suit then arrived damaged (button cracked and half missing on the cuff, big coffee stains up the arm) and the seller is claiming this is my fault and I have intentionally damaged the suit as I clearly didn't actually want it as I waited so long to pay!!!! I sent her a really nice email too saying while I appreciated the button could have been overlooked (although it's a 1" button, not exactly small), items sold on ebay should always, always be cleaned before sending out and I requested a partial refund to do what she should have done anyway ie take it to the cleaners.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Aww, love the sound of a pirate half hour ROTE!
Grace looks really cute (and wise!) in her glasses, was she alright when you were trying them on her in the shop? She may take to them, especially if she realises she can see clearly when they're on!
Very annoying about the suit! Fancy sending it in that condition, then trying to blame you?! Hope you get the partial refund, is there a spare button to replace the cracked one?
Did everyone have a nice weekend? We went to a BBQ at my parents' on Saturday and organised a picnic and a walk with OH's family yesterday which was lovely. Shame to be back at work now as I got a real holiday feel... but at least the weather's broken now to drag me back down to the normal drugery of day-to-day life!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Hey All
Happy Monday :rotfl: Wasn't the weather amazing on the weekend? I loved every minute of it. It's still nice here, but a wee bit cooler. OH and I celebrated his bday with a picnic at the park and then a nice dinner out. I'm a bit gutted not to be able to drink booze. I'm not a huge drinker, but I do really enjoy a summer gin and tonic or nice glass of wine. Book club tonight will not be the same
Then yesterday OH watched tennis and I did a bit of work. We did some DIY and are tantalisingly close to finishing the kitchen. After making me scrimp and save on every detail of it OH now fancies this £200 light fitting  No twirly Martin for him!
CBA'd to do work today even though I am behind already!
ROTE - pirate half hour sounds so sweet, and Dinah Grace looks adorable in her new specs.

Grace looks so cute in her glasses! Hope you manage to keep them on her.
What a nightmare with the suit! People have waited much longer than that to pay me before and i would never think that.
Weekend was so good. I had another hen do type thing on aturday with the local mums. Had a facial in the afternoon and some champayne and then we went to this greek restaurant. The place was full of hen do's and the most interesting part was when a stripper showed up....
Then yesterday went to a christening in oxford which was nice.
Sounds like you guys had a great weekend.0 -

Had a lovely weekend, although NIM was working most of it. Went to parents for a bbq on Saturday, had fun just playing in their garden with Grace.
Yesterday was just Grace and I, lots of playing again, made her a paddling pool out of a big plastic bucket, but I did have quite a bit of work to do for dad too so didn't get to bed until 1am.
Grace has shifted in the last few days to taking crazy long naps, it worries me. She's taking naps of 3 or 4 hours once a day and another one of 2 hours, a week ago she had two naps of an hour to an hour and a half each. She has good colour, she doesn't seem ill, today isn't even very hot, so I don't know why she's doing it.
