    Hello All,
Nice to see some activities here. I keep meaning to post but have no time whatsoever. And not even sure why.

Dinah, how scary about the break in. I never lock my door, I'm too scared that toddler Kavics would not be able to get out in case something happens to me but at the same time I'm scared of intruders as well.

I can't believe Birdie that you are back at work soon, time flies so quickly.

Tete, I wouldn't be able to teach so hats off for you. I can't deal with group of people :).

An update on us. Toddler Kavics is 2 next month, she is in nursery 6 hours a day now but back at home by 2 pm which is lovely. She sings all the time. She is happy, balanced and very funny.

I am doing my last year with Ou so still don't work. Savings will be run out by this time next year so as soon as June comes I will be back on the market looking for positions. I started to run again in April and run 2 half marathons already, doing another 12k race tomorrow. Running helps me with the stress although I hate it with a passion.

I also started dating again, it's been 2,5 years since Leo passed away. Feels very weird and none of the guys seem suitable sok far. How does one meet guys? I don't do internet dating and I met already friends of friends. The running club I belong to is full of married people so that's out as well.

I could have written that! I do dabble in internet dating but haven't been on an actual date for about three years (yikes, time flies eh?) - it so rarely gets past the "Hi hws u, wanna chat?" stage *rolly eyes*

Well done on your running though, sounds like you're doing ace!

Yes I know you now Flower, glad you've got sorted! Who am I thinking of then? Blonde girl, lives in London, cycles? I know her real name but don't want to put it here.

Some of these kids could do with a good clip Birdie you're right. Believe me I've been tempted when I've had a dictionary in my hand to give them a good thwack round the ear sometimes! They can be so annoying!

Anyway. I had an epiphany this morning while out running. I was chatting to one of the girls and she was asking about how the NQT year works and I explained that in order to be fully qualified you need to complete a year's induction, but it doesn't have to be all at once at one school, just three full terms within a certain timescale. I have been searching for what that actually is since getting home and can't find a definitive answer: either 2 years, 5 years or no time limit at all. Anyway, the crux of it being that if I leave at Christmas that's not the very end if I later decide that I've been a bit hasty - I can always go back and complete my remaining two terms somewhere else. It's unlikely I will, but knowing that it's not a 'no going back' scenario has made it easier for me to make the decision to leave. I would still need to pass this term though and I'm being observed on Monday

Oh, that's good news Tete. :) Any teeny tiny ideas of what you'll do if/when you leave?!

I'm getting worried about work as my colleague has put in her notice but after discussions and promises to change things she's leaving it until Christmas... if she leaves (which after a chat with her on Thursday I think she will) we're screwed and I don't want the pressure that she's under to be transferred to me! :o Might just spur me into looking for something different too!

BTW, you're thinking of Tink! ;)

Lovely to hear from you Kavics. Glad you're getting back out there although I can't believe how quickly time has passed. How can it be that little Kavics is going to be 2! She's so cute. :) Have no advice about dating (I've had 2 proper boyfriends in my life! :o). Just avoid Tinder, my friends have come across some right weirdos on there! And a couple of their friends' husbands!!!

You see, it's THIS sht that puts me off bothering with men at all!

I have a couple of ideas of things to explore after Christmas but tbh at the moment I'd be happy with a boring dead end office job as long as it doesn't follow me home of an evening! I always used to be so concerned that my job was just a job and not a Proper Career but I'd rather have a job and a life than just have a Proper Career.

Might be good to have a look for something else Birdie - you never know, by then your little business might have taken off!?

Hi Tink! Sorry for forgetting your name :o

There are a lot of slimeballs out there that make it difficult for the good guys!

I think you're right about being happy with a job rather than a career. Some lucky people have a great career and are happy going to work every day, but IMO, they're the minority! I work to pay the bills and have enough money to enjoy my free time with my family and friends. I could put more effort in at work to get promoted but I am happy going home at 4.30 and forgetting about everything until the following day! I have a friend who is a primary teacher and admits that she focused too much on study and work rather than her personal life and is worried that she's got the career but it's at the expense of a life and a family. :/

I would be delighted with a little modest success with my little business so I could cut down my proper job by a day or two a week and have that nice work/life balance thing going on. :o

There's an awful lot to be said for "boring" jobs! There's no way I could do what you do, I'm like Birdie and just work to pay the bills. Only time I bring work home is if we're doing some promotion and I just need to stuff envelopes or something silly. But mentally, as soon as I leave the office I'm done! It's great that you can leave now and the door is still open to finish the course if you want to. Must feel like a weight off in a way :)

Glad you're well and so is the LO, Kavics! :D She's growing up so fast, but is absolutely adorable :) I don't have any dating tips, just wishing you luck! Anyone would be lucky to have you in their lives, just remember that!

Hope everyone else is well, had a lovely weekend and we went to see Annabelle which was amazing because OH is terrified of dolls so now I can whisper "I like your dolls" when we're going to sleep and scare him for a change

Something weird has happened and I can only see Cinny's post. The rest are full of exclamation marks?

Cinny - we have a toy doll called baby Annabelle and in a thunderstorm a while back it set her off and we could hear her downstairs making noises. I made OH go down and switch her off, was freaky! I am rubbish at horror films, can't watch them.

You're not the only one Wendz, I hate horror films with a passion!

Glad you're feeling a bit better about things Tete, it's good to have options in the future if you want to go back to teaching.

Nice to see you back Flower! Hopefully the house gets sorted soon and then you can start to sort the money out. Hope the little ones are doing well also.

Can't believe little kavics is almost 2! Time is going so fast!

I might have to consult you about invitations Birdie! Going to have a go myself and if it fails then I'll send you a PM. That was rather cheeky of that woman, I would have told her where to get off!

Saying that, a similar kind of thing is happening to me at the moment. Turns out my best friend basically wants to copy my wedding, right down to the date! Can't really deal with it at the moment (especially after she tried on the dress I love and was talking about getting her mum to come and have a look because it could be the "one" for her). Giving myself a week to cool off and then I'll talk to her about it. Hope everyone is doing well, I'm off to seethe into my spreadsheets.

I could only see Cinny's posts earlier too, but now I can see them all but the signatures are garbled.

Money going okay if we could work a way through the additional level of security the bank requires to logon. As if 3 passwords weren't enough.

Glad to see you back Flower, wow the housing situation sounds scary.

Hang on Ruby, your best friend wants to have her wedding the same day as you?! That's mad, if she's your friend surely she wants to be at your wedding at you at hers?!

CMD, will the new mortgage laws in Ireland affect your plans?

3 mugs sold through etsy this week, which I'm chuffed with. It's not lots but it's a solid start. I know I could drum up a bit more if I had the time to work out getting the word out on facebook.

Migrane this morning, threw me for six. Luckily it was a day Grace was at nursery so dad came over to take her, Ben is an easy baby so fed at 9 then napped until nearly 12 which gave me lots of time to be very very ill while I got over the worst of it.

Ben is 4 months old today, 7lb 11oz, and he started smiling last week, I love that I'm now getting a bit of feedback from him, but I can't believe my last baby is growing up so fast!

As of today I can also restart dairy, one of his consultants doesn't think it's relevant anymore, so fingers crossed he tolerates it. I'm desperately trying to get him breastfed to 6 months, 9 weeks to go, but my supply is so low I don't think I'll make it.
