Glad the parcel made it Birdie - apologies for the state of the envelope, I had to do a last minute recycle (MSE style)! Hope Zach is feeling better today? How are you all doing?
I can't believe how much of a difference a bit of sunshine makes! Had an impromptu BBQ at a friends yesterday afternoon, completely alcohol free and rounded off with cups of tea all round, at which point someone did comment on how old we all were! But give me a good cup of tea any day!Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -
Poor Zach's still snuffling. Just been to buy a nasal aspirator thingy and had a nice chat with some teenage mums about baby cold remedies in Boots!
We had a really quiet weekend as we didn't want to drag Zach out too much and didn't want people picking him up all the time and disturbing him so just had a few little walks around our teeny city and watched a lot of rugby (fun!). OH's back at work today and it hasn't been too bad so far, but it's only been 3 hours and I went out with MIL for 2 of them!
I'm impressed with the sunshine though, lovely! Done 3 loads of washing and we've got lots of babygrows flapping about on the spinner now!

Awww hopefully he will be a bit better soon.
You will get used to being on your own Birdie, I know it seems scary to start with!
BBQ sounds fab Shrimpy. We always end up having tea when i get together with friends now, definitely getting old!
Your weekend sounds lovely too Cinny. Bet Ryder loved his long walk.0 -
Morning everyone,
Dinah & NIM - Congratulations
Birdie - I hope the little one is feeling better soon.
Finally, secured a new job just waiting on the paperwork, I will be working local so a 30 minute walk to work is fine by me so no travelling costs. Only been unemployed for 2.5 months when I start on 1st April0 -
Congratulations Poolie!
Also I think I forgot to say congratulations to you on becoming an Auntie CMD!Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -
Very quiet in here, is everyone off enjoying the sunshine?0

Congratulations on the job Poolie!
Is very quiet on here now, think everyone must be busy!0 -
Hey Poolie, that's brilliant news - congrats! Will that mean you'll have some redundancy money left to squirrel away? I hope so.
Things good here, just working away part-time and doing my extra moneymaking on the side. Quite chuffed to have reached the £600 since end of Jan. In two weeks I will have my final exam and the panel will decide if I get my phd and how many corrections I will have. So I am slightly bricking it about that. Also got two jobs to apply for, so lots to do.
How's Zach getting on Birdie?

Hi everyone! Can't believe how nice the weather has been recently, it certainly makes a change.
Hope Zach feels better soon Birdie.
I'm jealous you're going to Lake Como Dinah, I'd love to go to Italy at some point.
Congratulations on the new job Poolie.
Best of luck with the panel Lara.
Officially start my new job on Monday but had my corporate induction at the beginning of the week. Think I might have made the wrong decision with taking this job but I won't know until I actually start. The saving grace is that the contract is for 11 months so I can always move on after that if I don't like it and they don't want to keep me on.
OH surprised me with tickets to see Wicked last night for my birthday. I was quite surprised as he can't stand musicals but we had a good time none the less!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -

I certainly will approximately about 70% if all goes according to plan. I have already squirreled away what I can into an ISA for the year.0
