Good news Poolie
Good luck with everything Nearly-Dr Lara! How's your pregnancy going?
Hope the new job is better than you think Ruby. Good luck!
Zach's still snotty. Bless him, he's had 18 days on the planet and has been poorly for 7 of them! He's a good boy despite being ill though, will be much better with his sleep and feeding once he's better I'm sure. Doing OK without OH around but he tends to just want to be cuddled all evening so I don't get much done, and can only have a sandwich for tea as I can't get free to cook or eat a proper hot meal!
My parents came round last night with fish and chips and cuddled him whilst I had a bath- was lovely!

Drinks are on you then Poolie
hope the new job is ace.
Happy birthday Ruby! Hope the new jobs ends up working out, you never do know until you get into things. Fingers crossed.
Aww so exciting getting into a routine with Zach. Poor wee thing having still got a cold! Glad he's a bonny baby for you all. I can imagine it's hard to get anything done. Nice to have your family so close and glad to hear you're getting a bit of rest.
The pregnancy is going well, got a big bump now and getting podgy but so far no scoundrel has given up their seats on the tube for meStill 3 1/2 months to go which feels epically long but am sure it will go in quickly.
Cinny - how's your new house?

Bless you Birdie, hope he is feeling a bit better. I was exactly the same when Poppy was small and would end up just eating snacky type stuff. Have you thought of using a sling so it is easier to get stuff done? I never did it but definitely would do next time.
Lara - people in London are so rude! Bet they are all hiding behind their papers...
How was everyone's weekends? Mine was really nice, we were down visiting family and i got to see some friends as well so that was good. Also was our niece's christening and OH is godfather and I am a sponsor as I am not christened, was a lovely day. Poppy got to play with one of her cousins who is 6 months younger which she loved.0 -
Hope the little guy is a little bit better! I had my cold from the end of February until this Friday just gone so hopefully his time is almost up! Bless him being a little cuddle monster
It's so lovely you've got a nice support group around you too.
Congrats on the job, Poolie!
Glad everything is going well with your pregnancy Lara, I keep on meaning to ask but I'm tending to write stuff and then delete it at the moment. My mind is total mush!
Sounds like a perfect family weekend, Wendz. Wasn't the weather lovely?! I was down in London on the £5 ticket deal, had my lunch picnic style outside the V&A. Lots of walking, but I got to Forbidden Planet too.. and ALMOST finally got a stuffed Totoro, but he was £19.95 and a plushie cheeseburger was £6.50.. so you know. Cinny logic. Bought The Fault in Our Stars from the station for the ride home and omgRuined my life. Finished it yesterday and was mindlessly comfort eating through the last like, 10 chapters.. nope nope nope nope nope. Never reading ever again.

Glad to hear your pregnancy is going well Lara! Just read on the pregnancy thread that you got a bouncy chair with an owl on, is it this one because that's what we've got. The tunes it plays are stuck in our head at all times!
Zach is still snotty, so fed up for him even though he's not really that bothered. I suppose he assumes this is just what life is!Wendz, I've got a sling but can't seem to get the hang of tying it, every time I put him in it he just seems really uncomfortable!
Sounds like some nice weekends have been had.I went to a papercraft fair with MIL on Saturday morning then Zach and I went to watch OH play rugby in the afternoon. We had a random drive out yesterday that ended in York for lunch but it was annoying cold there so we had to abandon the plan of having ice cream!
Will check that book out Cinny, not that I get much chance to read- will have to have my Mum around again so I can sneak off to the bath for a read again!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It was lovely weather. Glad you enjoyed your London trip despite the book!
That's annoying you can't work out the sling Birdie. Don't worry about getting stuff done anyway, enjoy your cuddles. It is good your mum can come round sometimes to give you a little break.0 -
Hehe yes that's the one Birdie, I'll have to go and investigate the music. Funny to think of the two of us listening to it in different places
Money's still a bit tight so we've mostly had to get sensible second-hand things for the baby, and of course they are never the pretty things you realllly want. It was very nice to get something so lovely as a free hand-me-down! Good luck with the slinging.
Cinny, what a fab weekend to come down to London, sounds like you had a great time. Plushie cheeseburger sounds super cool - pic? I love Totoro too! £5 ticket deal?! that deserves a twirly Martin, surely?
:money:
Sounds like you had a lovely weekend with family, Wendz

Lovely to hear all the baby talk, keep it coming! Was over with my sister today and my new niece. She is just gorgeous, so pretty.
We had a nice weekend, although both kids are still sick so it was quiet enough. Today we went to the Patricks day parade with friends and then to my sisters.

£5 ticket deal sounds amazing cinny! I've just spent over £150 on train tickets and still have one set to get I'm amazed at how expensive it is even with rail cards and awkward timings (aka cheap) and what not... I've been stashing train vouchers from grabbits tesco points and amazon local though so didn't actually cost £150 cash if you know what I mean... Still don't deserve a twirly Martin though! If anyone sees more voucher offers let me know please!
Poole well done for your new job! I hope you settle in well and it's great you're able to bank some redundancy cash! Well done for planning so well and finding a new jobgood luck to you too ruby! What kind of thing is it you do again? I'm sure you won't have made a mistake but It is nice to have the 11month get out clause in case you hate it!
Lara I didn't realise you had found a part time job well done!! And saving £600 so quickly is great! Have you got a baby on board badge for the tube? I hate the 'fat or pregnant mental debate' so scared of offending so I love those badges! I'm sure you have a neat numb though that deco screams baby! If I ever saw you (which would be awesome) I'd give you my seat!
Very spendy weekend and then trains and got plans for lots of big weekends coming up.. Not sure how I'm planning to fund these eeek! I guess I just can't say no to things sometimes
How's things with Dinah and nim? When is the holiday? Also has anyone heard from tete? Is she ok?0 -
Tete seems very busy with her course. She was okay last time I heard from her.
Lara, when is baby due? Do you know what you are having? I hate the whole baby/fat debate too. Maybe people are trying not to offend you. Although I bet you have a lovely "tidy" bump as my mum calls it. Tidy as in it doesn't flow over to anything else like your hips and bum
Tink your plans sound awesome.
Poolie congratulations on the new job.
Birdie How's baby bird? Is he any better now?
