As much as I prefer a bath over a shower, its pretty common for flats\bedsits and even houses NOT to have a bath installed. Many people with disabilities have a shower room, completely replacing the bath. A shower being the practical option for many, lacking a bath does not render a house impractical.

If you have kids , you need a bath...

I haven't had a bath in at least a year despite having a bathtub, so if I was forced to choose I'd say a shower. However I don't have children; if I did I'd probably require a bathtub.

We have a plastic bath for our Son, but now he is outgrowing it he has been experiencing and getting used to having a shower.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I much prefer a shower. We are currently in rented and I really miss my power shower, especially as I have mobility problems and it is difficult to get in and out of the bath. Also I have to stand or kneel in the bath as if I sit down I can't always get up again :doh:Plus I have had my hair cut a lot shorter as it is much more difficult to wash without a shower.

Will be great when we find a property to purchase and I can have a shower again. :D
It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

    BATH!
I rejected several houses before I bought mine because they'd taken out the baths & then done odd things with the space so it would have been major hassle to put one back in! I love my baths :)
I have a shower over bath at home & to be honest rarely use it - I like the option, but nothing beats a nice long soak in the bath :)

A baby bath can be used when they're tiny and they are fine in the shower after that - it just means an adult has to get in with them!

Shower for me. We have just a bath at the moment, (changing it to a bath/shower soon) and I miss having a shower sooooo much. Haven't had one for over 2 years! You have to fill the whoooole bath just to get a decent bath which uses so much water too so a shower is more efficient :D

  • Really interesting poll!
We currently have our flat on the market, and it only has a shower room...I say room, its more of a shower cupboard! It has actually been put in the old airing cupboard of the original house. Alot of people have come to view but are put off by the shower and want a bath...it says on the details on rightmove it is only a shower but I think people come to view hoping they could put in a bath somewhere! So its encourgaing to see how many of you prefer showers!
I personally cannot wait to move to have a full BATH room! I will be taking long soaks to make up for the 6years of only having showers!
