Today I paid another £10.00 overpayment the Halifax.
My new lodger is moving in the 24th June.
I fell a bit more positive and in control of my money, rather than money controlling me. I hope this makes sense: I am sure you guys all understand.
I think we've all been there a one time or another. Good luck and well done so far. The lodger will be a great help I'm sure.I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

Haircut for OH and tiny terror came to £12.50 instead of £14, so £2.50 of change went into piggy bank.0

Other than this small list (copied from the Elite threaD) I'm not aware of a section anywhere that explains:
MOC: Money Off Coupon
SEL: Shelf Edge Label
DTD: Double the Difference
JTD: Just the Difference
RTC: Reduced to Clear
OOD: Out Of Date
OOS: Out Of Stock
CC: Clubcard or Credit Card, depends on context
HTH: Hope That Helps
SA: Sales Assistant
CS: Customer Services
DD: Darling Daughter
DS: Darling Son
OH: Other Half
DH: Darling Husband
ETA : Estimated Time of Arrival
TIA: Thanks In Anticipation
GBP: Great Britain Pound (some people can't get the £ sign to work, or have keyboards set up in "bilingual" mode)
Trout: is the expression used by people on here for cashiers of a certain age, usually female, that are miserable for the sake of being miserable, unhappy in their work, jealous of people with mocs and do their level best to prevent anyone using coupons...try your very best to avoid them at the checkouts..... (thanks to myrtleturtle on the coupon thread for this)
T.i.T.: Trout-in-Training
S10CT: stupid 10 character thing.
Womble: A discarded receipt that you picked up
Uncle Bulgaria: A womble of BIG value
Orinocco - A very small womble (i.e. not worth putting into the APG site)
HTH (Hope this helps)I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

Thanks Aesop, I'm so close to my Degree now I can almost touch it.. almost, but not quite!! Two weeks to go.....
Had £40 paid into my account yesterday from selling some copywriting pieces, so that's good news :T
Have been doing surveys every day during coffee breaks, and got a few very close to harvesting now.
Haven't had any time to round up things to sell, and tbh have lost the selling-mojo a bit after bad experience with dishonest buyer last month!
But still, onwards and upwards.. good luck everyone, you're all doing fabulous stuff!:TNOV 2014 £151.74/£150 ... DEC 2014 £303.81/300 ... JAN 2015 £143.33/£150
FEBRUARY 2015 £25.79/£100

Strictly Surveys : £5.00
Earnings, Sales, Savings & Misc: £20.790 -
I had a nice 170.55 cheque in the post today for cancelling my service plan on my car. I stupidly took the plan out last year when i last had the car serviced.
I was surprised to get the full amount back as it did say in the T&C's that they would add an admin fee if the plan was cancelled. This is all money saved as i won't be needing to service the car till next May as it was done when i bought the new car last month.
I did for a few days after changing the car worry that i made a huge mistake but £20 a week petrol instead of £35 was definitely worth changing for plus the £200 a year saved with Tax and insurance
I've also had cashback £3.74 from a works reward site i forgot all about since using TCB & Quidco.0 -

thanks to angelsmadv for a very concise listbut if there are any more that we post, just make a list and we will explain.
I will sometimes post MS - MysteryShopping
Pinecone or the shy forest people - is pinecone research a fab survey company, link near end of first post, to apply.
I sometimes use abbreviations of people's names depending on familiarity to talk to them/about them, eg CP is CountingPennies.
we talk about apps which are found on smartphones like apptrailer, textbroker, qustodian, etc.
sometimes people refer to ebay like bay of e, fleabay, etc.
let me know any you come across you don't understand.0 -
