However can I point out you have mentioned various times throughout this thread about summers babies I can't help but wonder you were waiting for a reaction??

That's a rather curt message. Would you care to elaborate on how you have come to this presumption about a person you have never met?PAD 2023 Debt total as of Dec 2022 £18,988.63*April £17,711.03

Not at all, I am sorry if it has come across that way. I have mentioned it 'several times' only in responding to others and continuing a conversation, nothing more than that. If you remember, it started when someone congratulated you on having a summer baby. I asked if they were being sarcastic and it was a genuine question, because I thought they were commenting on the perceived educational difficulties a summer child could face. I didn't actually realise that not everyone had heard of this. It has been in the news quite a bit recently particularly after a study was done showing that comparatively few summer born students get into Oxbridge. I didn't realise I was talking about something not everyone was aware of - my apologies.0 -

Perhaps the poster was a little curt but it is a well known fact.

If I ran a catering business I wouldn't let people bring their own food. What if people were taken ill as a result of it? It would be my business that got sued!
Let the little girl have her cake at home, if she is looking forward to it that much. Or have the whole thing at home. Save some money!(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -

It wasn't meant to be curt.
There have lots of threads on here about summer children finding it hard to settle into school & struggling to achieve.
It's also been fairly high profile in the media recently too.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -

I mean this in a genuine way, I don't have time to watch tv. I wok full time and am a single mum so as soon as I pick dd up its dinner time bath time bedtime (if us not ballet time swimming time or homework time!) then it's time for me to clean get the lunches ready for the next day shower and bed. The only time I watch it is with dd at a weekend and that is either children's tv or a film. So forgive me for not knowing it or being very observant but I genuinely never heard anything about this.PAD 2023 Debt total as of Dec 2022 £18,988.63*April £17,711.03

Well my personal opinion is it only affects them really early on...by time they are 16/17 a year is nothing but obvouisly when they first get to nursery a year is everything!
But I think its pointless debating something that can never really be proven....I was born in april and my sister in sept..I have always been the smarter one out of the two (I am not being big headed shes a complete airhead although we love her!) ...I might not be quite summer babies but EVERYONE is differnert and these stupid tests can only prove that someone's theory is correct...
I put to you now...that perhaps the less organised parents had babies in August by not planning ..and the ones that planned for september + are wiser people which makes the kids smarter as they get it from thier parents...so it has nothing to do with thier birthday but the parents planning skills..!!People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -

I'm really interested if the party place get back to you and allow you to have your own cake - at the sake of losing the whole party.
Please update when you find out if you don't mind.People don't know what they want until you show them.0
