    P.S. I'm quite surprised to report that most of the hanging basket plants seem to have survived their ordeal of "Wol's planting up" :rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi Wol, sorry to have been missing in action. Yeah to getting the money back if only in dribs and drabs, but :eek: to letting it get to 20k. That is SO MUCH money. I got burned for 5k and never again. That person is not welcome in my house until he has paid it plus interest. He never will so....

    Poor piggies. Hope you can get them forever homes soon

    I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

    Good news about your scan, Wol, particularly with the family history. Keep checking for those lumps and bumps though!

    Also good to hear money long owed finding its way slowly back to you, may it keep rolling in.

    Fingers crossed for the hanging baskets - I have never had much success till this year, with a load of lobelia plants from Ald1 - they are a stunning array of blues, pinks, whites and mauves.

    Onwards and upwards!

    Yoo hoo Chevvy :wave::wave:

    Lovely to see you - hope you;re gradually working things out in kiwi land given your last few postings.

    Yep - £20k was a lot ....but to give the full picture, 10 years ago, this person instilled confidence and enabled me to leave an extremely abusive relationship. They lived in my house rent free at the time as my minder for 6 months..with letter box taped up etc etc....and it really was very scarey.
    OK - they also took advantage of the situation and tapped me for a " few extra quid " :eek:....but by keeping the lines of communication open for the last 10 years it finally means I might get my money back from them instead of writing it off (which is what my accountant told me to do 8 years ago whilst blithely informing me it wasn;t tax-deductible :o)

    If I'm honest, I had written it off ...so I'm really pleased to get even one payment and the debt still acknowledged........and like I said earlier will take any payment I can get whilst the planets are aligned to my birthsign IYKWIM :)

    I love lobelias..They are so hardy and resilient....you can starve them of water and food, rehydrate them and then stuff them in through any small gap in a basket.....and yet they still go on to "display" quite spectacularly without the need for deadheading maintenance :D
