Why do these 2 different companies score me so differently? I think I need to do more investigating!

I wouldn't bother - they are just meaningless numbers and represent how the individual agency sees you - propspective lenders do not get to see the scores.

Concentrate on making sure that the actual information on the reports is up to date and correct.

I have the free experian trial which has proved helpful with putting my mind to rest that all is well with my account, my score is also good, nice to see. I then opened a noodle account which showed the the same details more or less but had me down as a poor risk giving me a number 1.

People who are littered with Defaults get excellent scores on Experian.
Do you see where this is going?

Companies report their data to one CRA. Until there is a request for your history then the data won't be updated by others.

Sorry, we haven’t been able to verify and validate your identity and can’t provide your credit report.

We’re sorry but unfortunately we’re not able to provide you with access to your credit report as we’ve not been able to automatically verify and validate your identity. As your credit report contains such personal and important financial information we need to make sure that we only make it available to the right person.
We're unable to tell you the exact reason that we couldn’t verify your identity but some of the most common reasons are a recent house move or name change, not being on the Electoral Roll or that the credit card details provided couldn’t be verified, this could be due to the card being relatively new.
We regularly make updates to our processes and we hope that this will allow more people to be automatically matched so please do come back and try again.
If you’ve any questions, or would like further information, please email us at register@noddle.co.uk.

What is missing? last time I looked I couldn't think of anything missing.

I find although Noddle has all the accounts it has very few if any of the searches.

Try a different card. Two of my cards didn't work (same message as above); the third did

It shows all the searches done with call credit, in my case all searches I thought would be there where indeed there + extras due to insurance quotes etc.

I will say its a shame the free one is from the smallest of the 3 but it is generally enough for the average person to check.

Fair enough but if most of the big companies check experian and/or equifax then just looking at noddle is not going to give you a useful view on your application 'status'. I try and stick to 4-6 credit application searches year and expect each one to be worth at least £100 in incentives.

Noodle also doesn't give your credit limits neither.
