Anybody paying £6, I will do it for you for £5 a month, it will be just you stat report + a score I make up after a quick look.

It would probably be more accurate too.

Noddle is not more detailed. They do not provide any of the extended information that some credit card providers use, though they used to.

What is missing? last time I looked I couldn't think of anything missing.

My noddle does show credit limit, balance and payment amounts aswell as number and amounts of cash advances on my credit card.

It is missing the minimum payment indicator and promotion indicator, but surely you know these and if the amounts are right what is there to worry about?

If you're checking your credit record you might well want to know what those flags say so that you can be sure that they are being reported correctly. It's also more convenient in the report vs having to check the statements to compare them with the amounts given.

You should check all 3 before applying for anything. Don't rely on Noddle as the two much more important CRAs may hold inaccurate information about you

Re. subscriptions they may be worth it for alerts and protection against ID fraud but never pay full price. I pay Equifax £3.50 for unlimited online reports and alerts (and their web protection thing which im not sure i understand but it tells me i have nothing to worry about) and get Experian alerts and unlimited reports included with my Smilemore account. Equifax will offer you a reduced subscription if you sign up and then cancel. Paying £15/month or £180/year is insane

The cheapest and most sensible option IMHO is to check Noddle monthly for identity fraud and to get your £2 statutory reports from the other two once every year or 6 months (and always prior to a new credit application). I only have my subscriptions in place as they don't cost me much more and I apply for about 2 credit cards a year on average

This makes a lot of sense, I do check noddle monthly just because I can and then just use £2 stat reports when I feel the need, last time I did that was before I applied for my mortgage as it is.

  • I have the free experian trial which has proved helpful with putting my mind to rest that all is well with my account, my score is also good, nice to see. I then opened a noodle account which showed the the same details more or less but had me down as a poor risk giving me a number 1.
Why do these 2 different companies score me so differently? I think I need to do more investigating!
