I have a great credit score, and no adverse information. I don't pay £14.99 either.....an awful lot less. £6 as I went to cancel when it was full whack. But at £6 I kept it on for peace of mind.

I don't watch it for my score. I use it for alerts services, as I can't have an adverse credit record. I certainly don't want ID fraud again. So £6 is pure peace of mind that I can jump on it.

A black mark on my file would be a big problem for me. So I don't expect you to get it. Nor do I really care that paying £6 a month instead of £2. Bothers you so much. But yes I've got a high internal bank score as I checked :rotfl: mortgage time.

I went thru an ID fraud period a few years ago with masses of credit apps being put in in my name. I now pay a monthly fee (£.6.00) and get emailed updates if any thing changes on my files, such as searches etc. Seems worth it to me but will let it go if nothing happens after a few years.

Most people who pay their wages into a bank and don't bounce cheques or return DD's have a good internal score with their bank,so I wouldn't jump on to that to much.

Good stuff. We all know a score is meaningless. Is the data that counts. My file is good and I intend it to stay that way, as it needs to be. So £6 for unlimited monitoring, when it would be £2 for one report. Is a bargain. Simple.

Good point. Having 24/7 access to your credit file is an unneeded obsession.....

I'm fairly new to MSE, and the one thing that has suprised me is people's seeming obsession about their credit score/file
