Highview cases do not even need a POPLA stage when people use the template.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I parked in Tesco Lee Mill near Ivybridge Devon and I did a huge shop of clothing, household items, gifts and my monthly shopping. It’s a huge store and I have a disability which makes me as slow as a snail. They also had a sale on everything in the F&F range, so I was thinking yipeeee get the Christmas shopping done also. I was super proud of myself as I can’t normally handle shops well and as it was fairly quiet I plodded on and got everything done. Today I got a £70 fine and I was shocked it was from parking in the Tesco car park. I didn’t even imagine that there was a time limit, especially in a remote area where it’s not likely anyone would abuse parking. It’s a huge store and huge car park and I don’t think I have every seen it full. So Tesco own the car park and had hired Horizon Parking to monitor the parking. Obviously I was very disappointed that I had done such a huge and expensive shop and got £70 fine for being a good customer. I didn’t bother calling Horizon as I have heard so much bad press about the money grabbing private parking companies. I know on a previous post on here, customer said that Tesco want nothing to do with it and say they don’t own the land (which could be the case at some stores) but I called Tesco and pressed the last option on the phone options for “anything else” this put me through to Tesco customer services. The member of staff was lovely and listened to my long shopping adventure and how much I spent. He was very helpful and took all the details of the parking fine, then said he will get it taken off immediately. He gave me a reference number and that was that. Supper happy with Tesco customer services today and appreciated the fact I was taken notice of and valued as a customer. I called the number below, but I also put some other contract information.

  • All parking firms are signed up to BPA Code of practice.
That stipulates a GRACE PERIOD -  10 minutes when I last looked. But they never tell you that.

A bit random considering this thread is ancient (started in 2013 and should have died in 2020) but apart from that you are wrong; ALL parking firms are NOT signed up to BPA Code of practice!
