Welcome to mse. You'll need to start your own Thread. That way each person receives tailored advice.

    If it's this one:http://www.tesco.com/store-locator/uk/?bID=3324
Mogden Lane, Isleworth, Greater London TW7 7JY,
-go back with any shopping receipts and that letter from Charity and DEMAND cancellation. Deal only with the real store manager, not just a day badge person.

Inform local journalists. Mr T needs all the good publicity he can get at present.

I am concerned by this 'appealed but this has been rejected.' To whom?

Hope you haven't given away who was driving. Always use 3rd person. although it may be too late now.

Read the newbies stickies thoroughly - there's a lot to absorb.

Especially, read Ralphy's excellent #6 here:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5244962

I know he's lurking rather than posting atm - but thankyou anyway Ralphy :-)

You need to start a new thread of your own for up to date advice. This one is as old as the hills.

    Welcome Ian. :)

You do what the NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST thread tells you to do and use the template appeal on day 26 (not sooner - the reason for this delayed tactic is explained in the sticky thread for newbies) and not choosing DRIVER in the drop-down appeal menu.

My signature (below) tells you how to find the NEWBIES thread.

If you can't see my signature words you're on a phone (unsuitable for this forum).

You should also phone Tesco Head office in Dundee and complain about the Store manager NOT making a reasonable adjustment for a disabled person to use a P&C bay when the disabled bays were all full (it's against the law not to make a simple adjustment like allowing you to park there).

Tesco should have cancelled the PCN and allowed your parking (Equality Act 2010 applies).

COMPLAIN to Head Office, Tesco can cancel this week. Much easier.

  • What do I do if I get a ticket from Highview Parking?

If you get a PCN from Highview Parking or Ranger Services you should do two things: 1) ask the landowner to cancel, and 2) consider appealing to the independent appeals service, POPLA. If the ticket was issued in a Tesco car park or a McDonalds, go and speak to the manager. They have the power to cancel tickets, and they have no interest in upsetting a valued customer. Be friendly, but firm and persistent. When appealing, don’t jsut jump in, read up about techniques for appealing. If you appeal using the right arguments, you have a very strong chance of getting it cancelled. Have a look at the following pages for information on how to appeal your Highview or Ranger ticket......

    Laugh? :D

Neither if these, as people don't need POPLA when they use the forum template!

    No need! Easy peasy.

If only there was a thread on how to do this without revealing the identity of the driver, how to make the initial appeal, how to appeal to PoPLA, how to deal with IPC members as well as BPA members, how to complain to your MP, how to send an SAR to the scammers, how to deal with court, and how to deal with debt crawlers …

    oh wait, it already exists.

Please ignore this post and just read the sticky thread for NEWBIES that asks you to read it before posting, especially before posting on a six year old and seriously out of date thread.

Thanks for all your responses, I will take up your advice CP and write to Tesco CEO.
One thing though, it's not that I overstayed, in fact quite the opposite I was well under the 3 hour limit. The reason that I got targeted was because I didn't get a parking coupon from the store. Although I don't agree with the scheme and have never come across it before, if push comes to shove and I go down the POPLA route, I think that the coupon issue alone could go against me. As I said in my post I didn't make a purchase on that day and rarely go to the store.

Just send the blue template from the Newbies thread and they will cancel.

This thread needs to die, it's almost 6.5 years old. It will contain ancient advice which is now probably out of date.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
