Betws-y-coed has a good tourist info centre and most pubs/cafe have leaflets station cafe has a nice selection of food and is a interesting place or there are plenty of good pub grub

Thanks Went to Swallow Falls in February as it's right near where we are staying. We'll be in Conwy (for a massage!) on Friday so will go see the smallest house! :T
Does anyone know of any events going on?
Can you still get to the top of Great Orme in Llandudno? If so how?
Any 'easy' walks up Snowdon?

Pontin's Prestatyn can look a bit like a POW camp with the barbed wire, but it's only a very short walk to the beach, and it depends on the type of Chalet you've booked as to how grotty it is, they re-did a lot of them a few years ago, but seemed to lose momentum and didn't finish them all, but I'm sure the kid's will love it

Just use prestatyn as a base, go and explore llandudno, betws y coed, llanrwst, the lakes at trefriw, they will blow your mind. Don't do rhyl . Wales is a fantastic country really . get in the countryside., you'll love us.

Oh I do anyway! We stay in a gorgeous cottage in Betws y Coed - our third time in 8 months. We had a lovely walk around Colwyn Bay and Llandudno even though we still haven't been up Great Orme! Then because we had such fab weather we just stayed in Betws y Coed and had BBQ's! The most wonderful relaxing weekend. We're back in October!

Well, I am going to stick up for Rhyl now, much better than prestatyn! The promenande has been revamped, lovely new paddling pool with water fountains, nice clean toilets etc. A new park which is great, always packed with kids at the end of the drift park, 2 new crazy golf courses (the one on the childrens village is better that the one on the drift park) and if the weather is good, even better!

by saying rhyl is better than prestatyn isnt selling rhyl much but i agree with you rhyl and tywyn abergele are bustling towns with a holiday feeling
