With all due respect that is no proof at all , anyone could write that . I just find it strange that you are the only one out of possibly 100's that has been contacted by them with a confirmation of a sale .
Until you provide absolute proof I just can't believe you in the current " Bissell says nothing , makes excuses or delivers nothing " atmosphere .

had letter this morning it goes like this
Dear mrs *****
re onlline order number *****
we very much regret having to advise you that due to a system failure within our internet ordering system you were recently emailed and order acknowledgement.
this acknowledgement should not have been sent and no product will be supplied. The reason for this error was that we had been running a time limited offer for a reconditioned Lift - Off vacuum cleaner for 29.95 which was tremendously successful and our stocks were sold out within a few days.
Immediately we had sold out of the product we removed the main advert from the site but due to a program error, for a short period of time the item remained on another part of the site at zero cost.
This resulted in the generation of a few "no product No Value" acknowledgements. As the system did not register a value, no money has been or will be debited to your credit card.
We very much regret this incident and can assure you that immidiate steps were taken to ensure that this can not reoccur.
Please accept our sincere apologies for any disappointment or inconvienience that this may have caused.

Yes, I got the same letter, I was just about to type it up!
I still think legally they are in the wrong, and are just trying to scare people off from taking it further...
If anyone could be bothered (no win no fee??) Im sure they could take it further... I wont be though...

But the free hoover wasn't for the reconditioned lift off's, it was for the deluxe version.
I got an email yesterday from them asking me to phone them, after i had sent them (as requested) my name and address, as they couldn't find my order number.0 -
Yup I just recieved exactly the same letter as badmumof1
And like red-boxer wonder why it says reconditioned lift-off vacuum when it wasnt..
but how do they know what I ordered when
1.I have not contacted them and told them what it was and
2.They claim they recieved none of these orders?
