If money is no problem try the sixteen47 range.

There are some stunning outfits unfortunately they have stunning prices to match!

    Hi Sally,

Why don't you try posting your query in Shop But Don't Drop too? There might be someone on there who can help, who hasn't seen your thread here. :)

This site has links to a wide variety of plus size sellers on the web:

  • Hello everyone.

well I went to The Trafford Centre yesterday and went to Selfridges. I asked where the larger sizes were, and a very smug lady looked me up and down and said ' Oh, well some of our clothes 'might' go up to a size 16, but I don't think that really helps you does it?' (I'm a 28)
I was gutted, and walked out in tears. I composed myself and considered going in again to complain, but I didn't bother. I was upset enough as it was, and really didn't want to make a show of myself.

John Lewises did have a range which went up to a 24, but it was very limited.

Anne Harvey was much better and I was able to try on 4 or 5 nice outfits, but none of them had a great deal of WOW factor.

I've already ordered an outfit from BONPRIX, and am waiting for it to be delivered. You've all been so helpful, and I appreciate it a great deal.

I am going to a shop in Ilkley called Box2 next week, and Excel in Saltaire too.

    Once again, Many thanks.

Oh Sally... I want to give you a great big cuddly hug! Like you I am a big beautiful woman and I know just how hurtful those sort of remarks are. Just keep telling yourself the woman was an insensitive c*w who hasn't got a clue what you or your life is like.

As I always tell my dd... look at some of the supposedly most beautiful *thin* women in the worrld (e.g. Princess Diana and Liz Hurley).. being stick thin didn't stop their husbands/boyfriends going off having affairs/prostitutes etc! I might be fat but I've been happily married for almost 26 years to a man who has loved me through fatter and thinner (never actually thin LOL :D ) and he's never given me a moments doubt of his love for me; I do a job I find immensely satisfying and have three great children; I've survived some terrible experiences and made friends along the way ... loads of those superior slim women can't match that!

I really hope you and your family have a wonderful day and bet you'll look absolutely stunning!

The clothes look fab... my only concern is that it keeps mentioning buying thisngs for Christmas and New Year which would suggest the website hasn't been updated recently although conversely they do have a spring sale on some items. My other concern is that they don't always state what the material is made from... i have a problem with anyhting polyester! Has anyone actually bought and received anyhting from this company? What have your experiences been?

Hi YL, please don't take this the wrong way but is there any reason why you can't lose some weight, ie medical conditions etc?

Firstly it will be better for yourself being healthier and secondly it might open up more choice for you clothes wise. :)
