I'm finding the posts suggesting losing weight really hilarious, as if it was that easy

I hope my post hasn't been mis-interpreted as I never suggested for one minute that it was easy.
I have lost weight and I know exactly how hard it is because I've had to fight for very pound over the last 17 months.
I think people are trying to be helful with ideas.
and you'd never thought of it before!!!

Well I hadn't thought of going to a class before so I was just offering up my experiences of losing weight using a class versus trying to do it on your own.

We don't actually know what she's tried or done, so it just offering experiences.

Anyway Yorkshire-Lady I'm glad you've found something you're happy with and as you've said your size has nothing to do with happiness, fulfillment and personal relationships.
  • I ordered an outfit from BONPRIX, but it hasn't arrived yet. I've just sent a lady on Ebay an email about an item she's selling. I've also just bought yet another outfit from Ebay. At this rate, I'm bound to find something suitable!!

With regard to losing weight, I've tried more or less everything apart from the Cabbage Soup diet!
I'm contemplating Paul Makenna, but not sure how successful it is.

    Kind regards,

    Sally

    Hi there Sally
Dont know if this is ok...but is there any way we can swap email addresses???? only i have a paul mckenna book that comes with a CD and i would be more than happy for you to have it.. it does work to a degree..all about eating what you fancy when you fancy it rather than denying yourself... cos as we all know we generally end up eating something "healthier" that doesnt satisfy the craving so we still end up eating what we craved in the first place..well i did anyway LOL... im just glad i adore fruit..but even that has its problems....well it does when you can eat as much of it as i can...still its better than choc i guess!!!

    Hi there Sally
OOOOOOHHH im impressed.....lol....how did you do that??? i didnt know i could send private messages.....
You are more than welcome to the book, i will get it off to you in the morning. I dont want anything for it..im sorting out to move to Germany for 3 years (hubbies a squaddie) and it will be 1 less thing to pack :-)......
just wish i could get rid of everything else i dont want :-)...have a dilemma... i cant stand throwing things away...but dont have the time to list on ebay or to drag to a charity shop...still i will find a way around it :-)
I know where you are coming from on the weight thing.... its a nightmare finding half decent clothes that arent soooo expensive, and finding items for special occasions... i have just had the same problem getting kitted out for my first holiday since getting married... thats why i posted about BONPRIX and empire stores...i may be well upholstered but i dont actually want to look like a sofa - which is what a lot of outfits i find seem to do ...LOL

I realise you have probably found something by now but if you are still looking then I have bought some lovely things from
    http://www.loveyourpeaches.com

It is based in the States but the postage is always reasonable and I think is basically just at cost.
The lady who runs it is wonderful and basically makes the clothes to order so if you need it slightly bigger/smaller than the sizes stated she has always been happy to oblige at no extra cost ( I am bigger on the hips than waist so have a smaller waist size bit the larger size through the hips).

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO TAKE TIME TO POST COMPETITIONS

Thanks Jill - I'm keeping an eye out for the posty!

I went to a local shop yesterday where they did larger sizes. They had about 5 outfits for me to try on, and 2 were lovely. She was very helpful, and offered lots of good advice about choosing - including having the right sized well fitting bra!

I also heard about a shop in Stockport Cheshire who specialise in larger Mums of the bride outfits, so thats a possible day out for DH and I!

(I also won yet ANOTHER outfit from Ebay yesterday, and it sounds ideal, but I'll have to wait to see it in the flesh before deciding. The outfit from BONPRIX still hasn't arrived so that's yet another possibility!)

I'll let you know as soon as your package arrives.

    Have a nice weekend.

It certainly makes a big difference whatever size you are.
I recently went to get measured and went in a 36B and came out a 32D.
I still can't quite believe it but the bra I bought fitted very well, so the proof is there.

Figleaves were doing a free "bra book" which I though was pretty good (and it had a voucher in it).
They have run out of hard copies but you can download the pdf here.
