I dream of such things being under 5K on CC. Well lodger moves in today so that's the end of me walking around naked but debt will come down. Well off to walk dog, bit top heavy for jogging lol. Well done on CC
LOL at least the lodger should help smash those debts even if they do force you to get dressed :rotfl: Have you thought about snowballing your debts Calling14? As you've got several CC's it's a great way to maintain enthusiasm? If you've not heard of snowballing it just means you pay the minimum to all your cards each month, apart from the one with the highest interest. Or if they're all at the same interest rate the one with the lowest balance. Throw everything you can afford at this card each month and when it's paid off you do the same with the next card. That way you have quick wins in the early days and hopefully it inspires you to keep going? :j0 -
Snowballing sounds so much fun. All my cc are nil interest at mo. Except capital one cc usually clear that each month but not looking likely by next week plus car insurance due. So playing bal tf game with bit can't pay back plus need to rework virgin card before that deal ends. Suppose I snowball in my own way. Be glad to not have to worry when tf deals end and have no debt. Determined this time. Clippy_girl so right done that before got a new kitchen instead of clearing debts. A whole week without posting tut tut
However I've been away working a silly amount of hours and didn't managed to check my e-mails never mind DFW diaries, although I'm catching up on them tonight.
At least I didn't spend much as most of my food was covered by expenses and I had three NSD's :j
The running suffered a bit due to the long days but I'm determined to run tonight, Saturday and Sunday :eek:0 -
Arghh unexpected expenses means I had to put £186 on a CC.
The plan is therefore to make sure it's paid off before any interest charges, so next month will be tight yet again:( At least I seem to have changed my attitude towards debt. Not long ago I would have simply thought oh well, what's another couple of hundred I've got credit left.0 -

Agree totally Calling14, without the DFW Forum I would have definitely given up and gone back to my old debt accumulating ways. Now I'm more than half way there, I feel like I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel. I don't think paying off debt can ever be described as fun but it does seem to help (me at least) realise I can aim for something better in the future.0 -
Popping in to cheer you on I2U!
Totally get how you feel about spending on the credit card. You are doing amazingly - you have paid off a huge chunk relatively quickly. These boards have totally changed the way i think too. Keep up the good work. :money::money:0
