Hi clippy_girl. Thanks for taking the time to read and for the encouragement.:T The run wasn't exactly fun  but as with my debt busting I'm determined I will keep at it.
On the money saving front I did buy a couple of new pairs of shorts today, as I didn't really have anything that was suitable for running. I did however buy half price no name branded ones at £5.99 each so not exactly a fortune and I'm hoping it will force me to get out each day and pound the pavement.0 -
Good work on the unbranded shorts and the running I2U!!
The packed lunches and free entertainment were going really well until the last day and return journey when we got stuck in horrible traffic for hours and I stopped off in desperation. I had pre-booked for the zoo to break up the return journey but because we were late due to the traffic I ended up going to the aquarium instead and will have to do the zoo on another day when we can get there early. So a bit of extra spending there - what can one do??!!0 -
Having read your diary very impressed how quickly your debt is coming down. I seem to make the mistake of when funds are running low turn to CC to live off, so will read a few more debt diaries and see if I get inspired. Got a lodger moving in this week so should help get mine down more quickly.
Picnics are the way forward actually more fun that McDonalds, need a bigger flask now as a hit with family members.
Weight will have to work on that after got my head around my finances. Walk a fair bit having a dog, but at the moment blackberries can't walk past, on my second blackberry crumble this week eeeeek,

LOL Thanks for the vote of confidence Calling14, although I'm probably the last person that you should use as an example, (unless it's as a bad one of course:rotfl:) but it's great to have you along on the debt busting journey
Not too bad a week so far. I've been away with work enjoying some sunshine whilst working mainly outdoors and had some meals on expenses. Although as part of my get fit/lose some weight regime I stuck mainly to salads  I also had a latte each morning, which I really miss but I have tried to stay strong and not buy any unless I can claim it back. After all it would be rude not to :rotfl: It's also the end of my first week of running and I've decided.... I'm not loving it at all and can remember why I stopped all those years ago but it's cheap and hopefully doing me some good? Finally it's Friday tomorrow and that means pay day :j So will pay money straight to the CC as soon as my salary hits the account to avoid any temptation. :dance:0 -
Yay not only is it the start of the weekend but it's pay day, so that's another chunk paid off the credit card and it's now under £5000 for the first time in I don't know how long :j
Managed a run/jog/plod round the local area this evening, whilst avoiding puddles of pavement pizza outside the local pubs
& although I'm still not enjoying it I felt less like throwing up myself when I got back so I might actually be getting fitter :rotfl:
I'm totally convinced I wouldn't have got to this stage of my debt pay off or started running without all the help and support on this forum! So thank you everyone, have a great weekend and I remain as ever Indebted2U all :A0 -
