I hope MSE Martin gets behind it as Legal aid, the ability to do Judicial Reviews on bad government and administration decisions saves taxpayers money and that shock horror includes me.

I disagree with opposition to this reform. Legal aid has created many millionaires amongst our legal fraternity and is a meal ticket for many others, and it is in their interest, and no other, that this reform is halted.

I would guess that the OP and wouldbeqaulitymoneysaver are examples of those with their noses in the trough, hence the self interest in the continuous bumping of this thread.

Is there a petition supporting the reform? If there is I'll be happy to sign that.

I would find it VERY difficult to choose a lawyer who knows me 'inside out' because I don't have day-to-day dealings with members of the legal profession :rotfl:

I'd be more inclined to read this thread properly, and the links indicated, if it didn't look like a set of twitter feeds. No word limit on here; so clarity IS an option!

@valli I am probably hysterical due to the things that are at stake.
I am guilty of rambling.
I don't think Twitter Feeds are offensive. If MSE folks bother to read them they would learn a LOT. This is in the name of transparency as well as honesty. It is also a form of Self Validation and defence. As I feel the need to defend my position at this precarious point in time.

My Support Workers know me inside out and could debrief a Lawyer if push comes to shove.
I am making myself acquainted with the Scene by surfing the numerous sites and unearthing numerous specialties Anyone can do it as a cautious measure, if push comes to shove..
If by chance you need a Lawyer and need Legal aid you will need to be aware of what and who is out there.
