Me and my girlfriend have been together since October 2012 after messaging each other on the Plenty of Fish website. In March I moved in with her, although I'd pretty much been living there since Christmas, anyway next week we are off on holiday together for 10 nights all inclusive in sunny Turkey and I am planning on asking her to marry me.
I just wanted some opinions on whether I'm rushing things a bit, or it may be too soon? In my mind, I know she's the one for me, we've lived together for the last 5 months and have got on great so why not?
I'm going to ask for her Mum's blessing this evening so wish me luck :beer:
We married four months after meeting on a blind date and are still happily married nearly 42 years later.
Of course it's not too soon. I wish you both every happiness.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Well, what did she say? How did the proposal go?
My dh and I got engaged after 3 months, although we did wait for 2 years before we got married. We've just celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary, baby number 3 is due in 6 weeks and we're very happy. I should also add I had just turned 21 when we got engaged and 23 when we got married so we were also young but even if we hadn't got engaged or married we would still be together. When it's right you just know.Norn Iron Club member 273:beer:0 -
She said YES!!!! :j:beer::T
I asked her on the first full night of the holiday, a little private moment as we were sat on our balcony overlooking the coast as the sun set! She's was over the moon that I asked.
We've decided to wait until the summer of 2015 to get married and we are now on a mega saving mission to pay for the wedding whilst also trying to get a deposit together for a house to hopefully buy in the same year!
Real exciting times and couldn't be any happier right now. Thank you for all your replies0 -
Congratualtions!
I proposed while on holiday but I wanted to do it in a very specific location. It took me nearly two full weeks to subtly manoeuvre Mrs G into it.0 -
Congratulations on your engagement, that is lovely news.The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0
