Ooh it's a bit strange. I would never ever want my dad seeing me undressed. Mum and I get changed in front of each other but sort of turn away if there's to be nakedness further than just undies. Besides, I don't want them to know about my pierced nipple!

And whether they mind or not, NO ONE is coming in to have a poo while I'm in the bath. I'm not having my lovely relaxing bath spoilt by having to sit there with someone's smell in the room.

While its not something I choose, on my birthday this year dh had just run me a bath (- feat in this house, we have no hot water on tap, so he was doing it with kettles and kept tripping switches and running up and down stairs.) no sooner had I got in to the after with a bath bomb I started to feel very queasy..and dh ran for a bucket for me (I am not always able bodied and wouldn't have got out of the bath in time to make it to the loo to be sick). As he stroked my back and was fetching me a clean face cloth, having washed my face with the one I had dh suddenly turned green himself and we realised I was not sick but rather we had food poisoning....what came up for me went out the other end for him.
So I sat pin the bath vomiting in a bucket, while poor dh had to sit on the loo at the far end of the bath.. Both of us green and weak.
We had planned a bath and an early night...but not like that. Sometimes practicality is that you might see each other do stuff that's not sexy or 'perfect' over a lifetime together, even if one doesn't choose to make a habit of it. :o. I didn't feel disrespected by dh, nor did either of us feel less turned on by the other....only.....it took a good week to get over that food poisoning and gather strength back!

Oh no, you poor things! Of course illness is a different matter altogether, they'd have to come in then and I'd just have to get out of my bath! I meant only when it's a matter of choice.

As for seeing each other doing things that aren't "perfect", he still liked me after we'd been out only a couple of times and I accidentally threw up in front of him :o so I think we'll be ok there :) (mortified is not even the word!).
  • This has just reminded me. A few years ago somehow a group of girls I know were discussing...stuff and somehow we got talking about the first time we had seen a penis. Basically, they had all seen their Dad's, brothers', cousins etc etc growing up and I explained that, as a family, we don't do nudity (except mum and me) and I didn't see one until I was about 18. Yeah, I know, I'm a freak. They all started taking the p*ss out of me and my family, "so you never shared a bath growing up?", "do you all shower with your clothes on?" etc. They just wrote us off as freaks.

Somewhere along the lines my collapsing in the shower story came out and my horror at my Dad seeing my boobs. One girl piped up - "So you have NEVER sunbathed topless in front of your Dad?" I answered no in a horrified tone and she asked what we did on holiday when we went to topless beaches. I answered that we had never went to a topless beach and I didn't think my parents would feel comfortable with going to one (there are cultural and religious issues here, I might add).

She proceded to lecture me on how repressed I was. She apparently had no problem sunbathing completely starkers in front of her entire family (including Dad, Grandads, in laws, sister's boyfriend) and they were all fine. In fact her Grandad often rubbed her sunscreen in! All my friends nodded in agreement and support. She reiterated that Iwas a freak.

Well, if that's normal then I'm happy being a freak. I'm actually fine with nudity unless I feel my body is being judged or scrutinised (like by my mum) but I do have certain ideas about modesty and there is a big difference between being comfortable naked and flaunting yourself.

    Meet a fellow freak! :o

The first time I saw a penis was as a student nurse at the age of 19.

I have never sunbathed topless either and wouldn't knowingly go where women do.
Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

    Not for a poo surely?

If my missus or I are having a shower (with the curtain pulled), we have certain rules, the most important one is - the other person must not come in and have a poo! A wee is OK, but never a poo, I can't imagine anything more unseemly:o
The other thing we mustn't do is pull the chain after, because that drastically alters the shower pressure and temperature:D

I had an operation last year and it drastically changed how I feel about people seeing me naked, it was very hard at first, being washed by complete strangers but if I wanted to be clean then this is how it would be. When I came home I needed my husbands help too, mostly he hovered behind the shower screen and passed me things and made sure I didn't fall over :)

I would never poo with him in the room though!
