Hi, Just to let you know what I got:
My first attempt, Sky offered me a 12 month contract of the usual unlimited BB. It also allowed me to keep my line rental with a non Sky provider. (I use Primus)
When I asked about a bill credit I was told no.
I phoned back later in the evening and this time when I asked for the £40 bill credit they agreed.
So BB £5 per month and a £40 bill credit0 -
Well this is interesting. I phoned that number and a real Sky person (had to get passed on from o2 costing me free) told me that I was miss sold the package by one of their outsources who should have offered me the £75 discount and cheaper line and broadband . He told me (by his own admission) that some of the companies they outsource are pushy and are on commission to sell the tv package hence why he didn't reduce my cost.
Anyway, after apologizing he said he will give me a £75 discount and BB/Line Rental for £10 a month PLUS free weekend and evening calls.
I am happy with that.
what phone number did you ring?0 -
To speak to the "dedicated" sky team dealing with o2 migrations (really a sales team anxious to bribe you into a contract rather than let you migrate which means no contract):
0800 230 0202 option1, 5, 2.0 -
Yes but if you migrate you don't get the offers. You will be charged a higher price by default.0

You should definitely get a better deal by switching early. In my case I would have paid £7.50pm for bb plus BT line rental whereas by switching early I'm now paying £70 over the next 12 months ie £5.83pm *including* line rental.
However not everyone wants the full LLU "*including* line rental" for any amount of bribe! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

I'm definitely not a fan of Sky, far from it, but the bribe was enough. It offset the increase in gas & elec from a previous fix ending.0
