Morning all, not done any flying since last Wednesday (well that went well...) as work and insomnia got in the way. Been so tired I could barely make it through the workday, lots of falling asleep on the sofa at 7.30 instead. Still, dosed up last night, actually got some sleep (OH is pleased too, first night in a while he's not had a punch or kick at some point!) so planning to get back on it today. Going to do some catch up and do kitchen as well as today's jobs, should be easypeasy, right? Will post later with how well I've done later on!0

Conversations with DS:-
Yesterday
DS: Mum, have you seen my school tie?
Me: No
DS: I can't find it
Me: Well you must have it coz I washed it at the weekend and all the ironing is through.
DS: Well I can't find it
Me: Well, you'll have to look harder because all the baskets are empty.
Today
Me: Have you found your tie yet?
DS: No, I've no idea where it is
ME: Have you gone through your drawers, under your bed, behind your sofa?
DS: Yes, it's not there.
Cue mass declutter of his room by me.
Opened his uniform drawer and began taking things out one by one. In the middle of trousers 1 tie!
Me: Here Darling, I've found it.
DS: Cool, where was it?
Me: In your uniform drawer

in our house thats called the difference between a mum look and a dad look:rotfl: if DH or the kids cant find something i usually find it in a place theyve already searched. trouble is i now tend to get asked before they even bother looking.
mil is the same now shes on her own, shes decided its easier if i do things for her. (Yes easier for her) i tell her everytime i go round how many rubbish bags etc a week and all the recycling, she wont let DH put it out thursday night incase the foxes get it so wheels it down the drive on a shopping trolley friday morning. since ive started going round fridays to help with a bit of tidying and sorting shes stopped bothering in the week so basic cleaning needs doing instead of the extra bits i was helping with. shes mobile enough to go cinemas bowling and for a wander round the shops or up twon with friends for lunch, but not mobile enough to weild a duster loo brush or hoover.
have decluttered DS2 to school, made a phone call, folded yesterdays washing, tidied the settee throws filled in a product test survey and made a start seeping the floor.
just going to brave outside and bash the cushions and hang te washing out.SPC~12 ot 124

You mean you have one that looks with his eyes? Sheer luxury
OH asks random questions about the state of ... everything, without *ever* bothering to look. I've asked, I've told, and now I'm in the process of learning how to just ignore them.
I've removed, emptied and washed the three worst drawers in the kitchen which are nowhere near as bad as I thought they'd be. Must be a year's worth of detritus knocking around the bottom of them as opposed to the ten years it was this time last year. The sitting room and dining room are still in chaos after yeaterday's carpet washing, so that's all three ground floor rooms overturned.
Then one of the lodgers came back for breakfast. Oh whoops.Better is good enough.0 -

!!!!!!... turn up at school for meeting with the head and apparently she is 'too busy' to see me.. They have some questions about Moomins injections.. but I did explain briefly she just needs someone to make sure she does it and disposes of it safely she does it all herself... Anyway they expect me to reschedule my life and go again tomorrow morning.. ..gggrrrrr
Kitchen needs another going over with the mop.
Hopsickle with Moomin this afternoon so I need to pick her up at 12:30ish.
