Surely if blue tooth was a feature you wanted, you would of gone for a model that had it?

She did (or so she was led to believe). That's the whole point.

Luckily the dealership were great and offered to fit a bluetooth kit (£200) for free :D
Also search sale of goods act as if you have been mis-sold and you're within 7days you *may* be able to cancel and have a refund.

It took me less than 30 seconds to find out that it hadn't got blue tooth.

Myself, if i'm going to part with £11k for a new car, I would be checking before hand if it had everything I wanted before even setting foot in the showroom.

Unless the OP can prove the cars was wrongly described, i'm not sure she can take this anywhere. Pus it seems that the dealer has offered a reasonable solution in fitting the hands free kit.

    I do agree with you.

When it comes to money, I'm as cynical as they come and believe nothing unless I check it first.

However I think it's reasonable to assume a salesman who deals with these cars, should be able to relied upon to provide accurate info.

I also agree with you. Obviously we only know the OP's version of the events. I would be surprised by a salesman saying that a particular model of car would have a feature or option when it clearly dosn't.

Well going by my experience over the last 3 weeks, I'm not.

Some of them are shockingly misleading.

I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt by assuming they get a bit mixed up because of the amount of cars that they deal with but I recently did have a specific occasion last week to wonder if it was more deliberate in an effort to 'hook' you in initially.

As I said the model we purchased wasn't the one we had originally thought we were going to. We were shown what we were told was the top model for that range, that it had some upgrades added to it also and offered a deal on it for just under 10,000. I asked about bluetooth and was told it had it, not only told but had a lengthy discussion about it.

An integrated bluetooth system should stream music from the iphone and support handsfree calls, my previous one did. I don't want a handsfree kit with wires trailing its not the same thing, I wanted an integrated bluetooth system that was the point in buying a model that had it already.

Then 2 of us were hullcinating a whole conversation about it, imagining me showing my iphone to the salesman and the text I have that I sent to my daughter at the time, whilst still with the salesman isn't real.

I have no reason to make it up, I was genuinely disappointed and felt that even if he hadn't been deliberately dishonest it was still a mistake that shouldn't have been made.

He also said that none of the chevrolet range have bluetooth systems that stream the music wirelessly they are all just basic bluetooth for handsfree, which he says he has checked with a colleague today after first speaking to me. This is wrong as well in the aveo manual online it gives all the details for pairing the iphone and streaming music.

Can I ask if they have just added a handsfree kit or have they replaced/adapted your audio system to an integrated bluetooth system?

Well as I have said, the non of the Spark range has blue tooth either as standard or as an option. So unless you meant to purchase the Aveo, which is a different model altogether, then i'm surprised you considered the Spark.

If you are satisfied that the car was 'not as described' and you had intended on buying the Aveo, then you may have a case under the SOGA. Your problem would be how to prove it because the manufacture's literature won't help you if it is constant with the website. I don't suppose you have anything in writing (on the vehicle order form for example) which shows you requested blue tooth?
