Is the stock market over heating?

Well I just had a burst of optimism and topped up on AAS which is 5% off. Looks expensive but I've battened down elsewhere over the last month, so I need a bit of excitement. Talk about illogical...

I wasn't panicing, just paying a Uni bill lol. But will pay it out of cash and wait.
I was selling as it had run up nearly 40% this year- was thinking of taking some profit. I don't always do this when I should.
Btw, when i was looking up the price yesterday and thinking, I also looked up when I bought gold as I couldn't remember the exact date/price. The price then was about 660USD in 2007. If I could remember why I bought then lol. I am sure I had a reason, but can't remember what it was.0 -

If you can avoid being fearful or greedy, you'll overcome the main psychological handicaps of investing.

Ive sold some things over the last month, but bought other things.
Im not selling anything at the moment, am pretty happy with my holdings but my portfolio has very few large caps. The large caps are the ones Ive been sellingFaith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.0 -

Or you might recently have read Tim Hale's Smarter Investing and be desperately trying to put his theories into practice while blocking out the background noise :eek:0
