Egg/canada square operations

Hi, new to forum, but have been reading about EGG/ CSO, does anyone have any more info regarding receiving their cheques.
i got a letter beginning of April with an offer, which i accepted and returned same day, this states that on receiving the acceptance you will be sent a cheque with 20 working days. 2 weeks later i got an other letter thanking me for returning the claim letter, and i would receive my cheque within 20 working days...it now May 17th. still no sign of my cheque.
There is no 'phone number on any of the letters or an e-mail address..only signed by an IAN CLARK.....is this a scam..or a genuine company.
any feedback would be appreciated

You may be waiting weeks for a cheque, they aren't the quickest. Send a letter to chase it up.

thanks Taff, just been reading so many letters regarding this take-over company, just makes you wonder if they are genuine.
they shouldnt say you will receive cheque within a certain time limit if they are not going to follow it through.
  • Canada Square Operations , dealing with former Egg Complaints, part of Citi.com, are a disgrace. So no change there then. How can we put pressure on them ?

Agree with you. I can't believe the behaviour of them.
There isn't even a telephone number to reach them, everything always has to be done by letter at which they try to fob you off at every opportunity.
Today they sent me a letter saying I have to provide proof of my address to process my PPI claim even though I finally received my SAR from them last week at the same address and the SAR includes the proof of my address which has even been data controlled by them.
    Complete jokers.

I send my acceptance off earlier this week. It's not a huge amount that they have said I will be receiving but anything is better than nothing. I will have to update you if I hear anything back from them.
Been there, done that and Ebay'd the t shirt.

Just received a letter from them after sending off the questionnaire. I do have bank statements but not from my current account as I do Internet banking however I have statements from my ISA account and e-savings account as they said my address has changed even though I've lived there since childhood.

Can see these people are not easy to deal with at the best of times

Hi, Same position as yourself, I recieved acknowledgement of my acceptance of an offer on 19 April and still no cheque despite them stating I would recieve it WITHIN 20 days. I tried ringing them on 0800 3582101 (which is a PPI claim number found on MSE) to be told they are unable to advise as my complaint is with a different department! So they know about it! ..and get this....they can't transfer me or give me any contact email/phone number! I rang back and spoke to someone else who was marginally more customer friendly and took my contact details and said he would pass them on to the department dealing with my complaint.....but even better....he couldn't say for sure if anyone would bother calling me! No one has called me!
They are only contactable by post! Meaning I have to pay to send a letter to enquire as to why they haven't done what they said they would?
So I have written to them but not sure what else can be done apart from making another complaint via FOS.

success at last, took Taffs advice, wrote to Canada Square, quoted time details they gave in their letters regarding when I would receive my cheque, it arrived today, a few weeks longer than quoted.....off to the bank before they change their minds.
hope more people still waiting have success too.

Thanks great news. I have sent off a letter too, so hopefully I will get the same results. Can you say how long from sending the letter to recieiving the cheque took?
