I just mailed Ian.Paul.Clark@citi.com because after all the shenanigans of address change documentation, acceptance letters, them sending me documentation back thanking me, cheque will be with you in 20 days etc, they sent another letter today asking me to send change of address documentation before they can proceed!!!:mad::mad:

Called 0800 3582101 only to be told the department handling my case I need to speak to do not have incoming phone lines!!

Not happy at all about this so I hope the e-mail to Ian has the desired effect

Of course not but my previous post a few up in this thread already highlights the amount of hoop jumping I've gone through and now it seems am stuck in a vicious circle. They accepted my proof of address and then a few weeks later send me another letter asking for proof of address - they are stalling

    Hello all,

Im relativley new to the forums however MSE has helped me in many ways to claim back charges etc - So thanks!!
I am currently in talks with CSO about my egg credit card, they have confirmed that i did have PPI on the account when i opended the credit card in 2002, however they are saying that as it was taken out on line and no advice was given by any body then they have closed my complaint regarding claiming back the PPI. If i remember rightly the PPI box was already pre-ticked. Has anybody else had a similar issue and success that would be able to advise me what the next step would be? They have said that I could go to the FSO.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

We have just had the same! I'd like to take it to the Ombudsman as I still think it was mis-sold due to the way it seemed like it was a part of the application process.
So - anyone out ther done this and How did you get on? Is it worth doing?
    Thanks!

Probably not stalling, will only cost them more.

Someone has not read all the notes, or someone has not updated them correctly. You'd be surprised how much it happens :D

Exactly the same as me!! Sent me a letter asking for my address last Tuesday even though I sent them an up to date original gas bill 3 times over the last 5 months.
Then on Saturday I receive my gas bill back from Citibank? Like !!!!!!??

I received a phone call from them yesterday - don't all faint at once! The certified copy I sent to prove my address had the branch, initials and employee number of the bank official but their QA department couldn't accept it because the full name of the person certifying the document was not also present

I sent today an original copy of my bank statement (which I had requested in the meantime just in case the certified copy wasn't accepted - seems I knew this was going to happen eh!) with a covering letter including the persons name - he said he would personally check every day and make sure once arrived my cheque will be sent within 10-14 days. Let's see what happens next
  • Hi everyone

Have been givent he same run around as every one else I had a solicitor verify my statements int he end and hoped that was it. I had 3 letters in one day a long one saying as i work abroad they still could not accept my documents then 2 on the same day one saying more proof needed and one saying cheque on route (very confusing). Then 3 days ago i received a phone call from a lady at canada square (thats right they rang me) to say my cheque had been ordered and should be with my in 20 days. This has been a hard 6 months as the money which we were not expecting will make a great difference to our family so now waiting with bated breath.
