I put my complaint in back in May 2011, which then went to the FOS in September 2011. I am still waiting for a decision from both....0

mronco..it was about 10 days, much quicker than I expected, after reading some of the stories..:j
Well got home today to find a letter from CSO, opened it expecting my cheque and ......no they have sent me a leaflet from the FOS which they "forgot " to put in the last letter!
I have no reason to go to FOS as they have made me an offer and I have accepted it! I am just waiting for a cheque they said I would receive within 20days of19 April2013.

My cheque took 3 weeks to arrive after I had the letter confirming I was due a refund. The money is now in my bank0

Don't want to put a damp squib on things but your delays are peanuts. I had a letter from Egg on 12th June 2012 advising they have upheld my complaint and since then I've heard nothing. I've telephoned 12 times but got bored with the recorded message saying they would be in contact soon (sic). 12 e mails and 5 letters including a recorded delivery to the Chief Exec have prompted not a single response.I've just sent them a birthday card and another sarcastic letter but I'm not holding out too much hope. The only positive is the amount of interest building up as they delay payment. FOS letter has gone but hey you're only young once. Or at least I was.:rotfl:0

Thanks, so I wrote them again asking them to at least contact me and gave them 4 methods to get in touch......and then a week later got a call from someone at CSO. They said I would recieve my cheque by 10 June!!:j Excellent I thought. The following day the cheque arrived:T:beer:. (Maybe I'll get another one tomorrow!!)
Thanks to all on MSE for all the info and encouragement to pursue these big organisations:)0 -
Just had my cheque come through the post so off to the bank I go later to deposit it when I've dropped youngest off at nursery.Been there, done that and Ebay'd the t shirt. :beer:0

Hi, Same position as yourself, I recieved acknowledgement of my acceptance of an offer on 19 April and still no cheque despite them stating I would recieve it WITHIN 20 days. I tried ringing them on 0800 3582101 (which is a PPI claim number found on MSE) to be told they are unable to advise as my complaint is with a different department! So they know about it! ..and get this....they can't transfer me or give me any contact email/phone number! I rang back and spoke to someone else who was marginally more customer friendly and took my contact details and said he would pass them on to the department dealing with my complaint.....but even better....he couldn't say for sure if anyone would bother calling me! No one has called me!
They are only contactable by post! Meaning I have to pay to send a letter to enquire as to why they haven't done what they said they would?
So I have written to them but not sure what else can be done apart from making another complaint via FOS.
Wow, this is a carbon copy of my situation with them. Received offer letter but also asking my to prove my address seeing as it has changed since I had the Egg account. I sent proof of address back with bank statement included (printed as I use internet banking). Received another letter saying offer upheld but to proceed they need change of address. Strange I thought, I have already done that but did it again. 10 days later, new letter received thanking me for change of address but that a certified copy or original bank statement is required. Sent certified copy back. 10 days later, new letter received stating certified copy not acceptable and original required. Went into bank today, had to switch to paper statements vs online in order for their system to then send me a paper statement which I will received in 5 days, I then have to go back into the bank to change back to online statements in 10 days from now. Once received, I will send the original statement to them and hope that is the end of it!!0
