And your question is?
They wouldn't have said they owed you money, they would have said it's possible you were missold PPI.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
I received another phone call on Friday thanking me for the original bank statement and that I am now on a priority list to have my cheque within 14 working days0

Priority list? Surely all payouts due to complaints are a priority? I don't really see how one complaint can be prioritised over another.
Not a dig at you Baronmagpie btw just the way they seem to handle things.0 -
Yeah, and i'll believe what someone tells me over the phone too......Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

......just updating the thread as and when things have been happening. I didn't say I believed nor disbelieved anything. The way this whole thing has been drawn out I'll eat hay with a horse if that cheque arrives in the next 2 weeks though!0

We received the letter from these based on a previous egg loan. From filling out the initial questionnaire to receiving the cheque of just over a thousand pounds took approximately 8 weeks. It may have helped that we have never moved house during the time period in question but i found the whole process pain free and easy.0

The priority would likely be to pay the oldest claims first. They are in a queue after all.0 -
Well if in December you had a letter saying you would get your money in 20 days and you are still waiting I can see that point but my issue is if they say 20 working days then it should be 20 working days.
The amount of delays people are enduring is ridiculous, the fact they are saying they have a so called priority list is a joke. All this "make sure we have your correct address" is a load of tat because they won't even look into your complaint if the address you have does not correspond with their records, then to ask for the proof again when you sent it less than 6 weeks ago???
Just unnecessary delays for some who are in need of that money.0 -
You are still accruing 8% simple interest the longer they take, so you are gaining by them taking time, not losing.
If you are in need of that money, then perhaps you ought to go over to the debt free board for more help.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
I don't need the money and I've been debt free for over 3 years. My point was that some people are relying on that money and if they are being told it will take 20 working days it's only fair that Canada Square honour that. Would I still be in debt I'd be desperate for the cheque in my hand to pay it off! Some of the reclaim amounts that people are talking about are life changing.0
