Morning all.
Alot of you are up early, hope you all sleep better tonight.
Hugs to all who need one.(((((((((())))))))))
Well ds2 is back home, and hes lovely and tanned, told him he cant stand to close to me LOL.
Hes had a lovely hoilday, but have a major issue regarding the hoilday hes just been on after finding some travel documents his nana had left in his case, not sure what to do about it, to cut a very long story short, the hoilday was only booked 3 days before he went even though we were told it was booked this time last year, his nana ( my hubbys step mum) looks as though she is up to her old tricks, we have had loads of problems in pass with her and money and getting my dh dad into debt, but thought it was all sorted, now im not so sure. Will have to think about weather to say anything or not. Im mean what would have happened if she couldnt have got the hotel at such short notice??????
Anyway apart for that, have lots of washing to do, and need to nip to town to take his underwater camera to be developed and also want to price up some hoildays for us as a family for oct 08, long time off i know but think we can afford it if we book so far ahead.
Does anyone know the dates for half term oct 08???
Have a good day all.
Donna

Morning All
Completely exhausted. For the last three nights I've only had 4 hours' sleep and it's starting to get to me. Got a lot going on in life at the moment and it's not all good, so I have no choice but to make the sacrafice of sleep. Hopefully it won't be for long
Did some overtime last night so that's a bit of extra cash this month. I really need it right now too. BF wants to go back to US for another break, which admittedly we both do need already. So I've got to try and get the cash from somewhere.
All lunch is HM as usual. Well must try and get some work done. I look like a zombie!:rotfl:
Hope everyone' okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Morning all
Well done on giving blood Aimee :T :T I used to do it regularly, but haven't been for ages - I must find out how to give locally.
Work today, probably just as well, I was mooching on the Internet yesterday, and ended up booking two weeks in Florida later in the year - will definitely have to be more MS now
A reduced 'special' cottage pie from Asda for tea as I am still trying to empty my freezer ready for all this lovely fruit and veg from my new allotment
Hope everyone has a good day :grouphug: to anyone feeling down xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Good Morning!!
What a lovely sunny morning - birds are singing and the sun is shining. I don't know what I'm going to do in winter when I open the curtain to darkness
Benson is settling in well so far - we went for an off the lead walk yesterday with no other dogs/people around and he stuck by me:D - however I think it might also be to do with him not knowing the area
I intend to spend today baking, cleaning and tidying. If anyone knocks on the door or rings I'm going to ignore it until I've got everything done that I want to do. I know thats anti social but I need some time to sort 'stuff' out.
Hope every1 has a gr8 day:T and big (((HUGS))) to anyone needing them.

Good morning everyone. Not been around for a while. It's looking like our chicks have failed to form properly in the eggs, and none have hatched. We all feel really sorry about it. It's a bit like telling people early on that you're preganant and then having to go throught the whole *explaining that you're not after all* scenario. So we will be having a go at hatching more eggs, but will only be anouncing it once we have happy news
I received the staging for my polytunnel yesterday, so no more bending down to work in there (once I've assembled the falt-packs, that is).
We've had our first new potatoes from the polytunnel, and they were delicious. We have lots of strawberries forming, and plenty of flowers on our tomatoes. We had HG lettuce, snap peas and basil in a salad yesterday, too.
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Hi everyone.
Usual day today , schooling etc. Still laundry to get through lol though I got a fair bit of it through yesterday. Ironing still waiting for me.
They eat me out of cake and home yesterday lol. I made a marble cake on Monday, although it wasn't ready to eat until yesterday because I didn't put the choc. topping on until late evening, and some uncooked chocolate bars yesterday, and it's all gone in one day. Just taken a cherry cake out of the freezer. That will be gone by tonight as well :-)
Have my eldest coming over later to borrow my cooker. Her's isn't too good, and she is making some cakes for someone (she's a chef).
I was going to make cheese flans for dinner tonight, but forgot to take the bacon out of the freezer. I wanted to make them early so my daughter would have free range of the kitchen without me getting in the way. So, I've rearranged my menus and I'm doing Macaroni Chesse tonight now. I'll do the flans on Friday instead.
Everyone have a blessed and prosperous day.
Hugs all round.

Good Morning All
((((hugs)))) where needed
I did watch the first half of the whistleblower programme, glad I dont buy ready meals and as we live in a seaside town we get shellfish from local suppliers - do sometimes have meat from the deli though so will be rethinking that one. The state of that factory making ready meals made me feel so sick.
Anyway weather is lovely here so loads of washing as havnt been able to do it last couple of days. Need to go out and get loads of paint and do some housework. Also need something for dinner - had to have a takeaway last night as wasnt allowed to step on kitchen floor.
Hope everything is ok with everyone - sorry for those who cant sleep. DLB I personally wouldnt say anything now but you know the previous situation so you know how bad things could get - hope you get it sorted.
Off now to check my bank.0 -
Morning all
last night was the grand girls v boys netball tournament at work. My dd played instead of me and the girls got trounced 13 -3. My dd played instead of meI was a bit cross as they paid for an umpire who seemed too scared to blow the whistle when the boys were fouling. The girls had practised really hard and the boys had read the rules and we knew that the girls wold win if the boys were pulled up properly ... ah well. I went along as a firstaider which was just as well as there were a few injuries but none too serious.
tonight is the Champions League which youngest dd is VERY excited about. We were all going to a pub with some mates but I noticed that the pub would only allow kids after 9.30 and was worried about extra time and penalties. I phoned them up and said that she's 10, very quiet and will be no trouble and the barmaid said that she wouldn't advise bringing a child in when there's football on - what's wrong with me - and in fact no! she can't come in at all. Good grief! I can understand them not wanting to breach their after 9.30 policy but to ban her altogether especially as it's not like there's going to be a whole load of AC Milan fans in to beat her up! We will go to our local instead where the punters call her treacle, budge up to give her a seat, and give her 20ps for lucky minstrels from the machine and she won't get chucked out at 9.30
Thursday night football training begins for 17yo dd which means that I'm looking after 2yodgs again but she will bring him here this time as I've hardly been home before 10pm this week and therefore not very much msaving going on
Bad night last night so I'm joining the Lavender Ladies to see if that helpsI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -

Thanks for all the kind words and advice yesterday it was really appreaciated. I've asked him to think about us going to counselling but he said that if he can't open up to me how can he open up to a stranger. So I've ordered 2 books off amazon to see if they will help at all.
On the OS front the house is once again looking lovely, although I didn't realise how much I had let it go when I was studying. Ah well fixed now. Need to start on the spare bedroom tonight and finally clear some of that clutter. Apart from that not much else to report.
Penelope Penguin - Sorry to hear about your chickens, I think everyone was keeping their fingers crossed for you
Right, off to start work. Hope you all have a great day and take or leave the :grouphug: as needed. You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
Morning everyone
Good night's sleep for me so I feel quite good today. (((hugs))) to those who aren't sleeping.
Amie well done on giving blood. I used to give blood too but had to stop as I was anaemic.
trigger (((hugs))) to you and your granny. I hope social services are able to put things right at home for her.
hester your recipe sounds yummy but I think coconut milk is high in fat. Is there anything I could substitute in its place as I'm trying to lose weight (again)?
dlb Try checking your local authority website for school holidays - I'm not sure whether they will have 2008/09 on it yet but its worth a try.
PenPen (((hugs))) on the chooks. What a shame.
tinkerbell (((hugs)))
I watched the Whistleblower programme last night and tbh if ever there was a case for vegetarianism, that was it. The supermarkets were bad enough but I felt sick watching the undercover filming at the ready-meals factory. I don't think the response from Tesco or Sainsburys was good enough. I suspect they are not alone though. Definitely given me food for thought (no pun intended).
W**k today so another busy day. Going to look for internal doors too I think as I need to replace the ones upstairs. No idea what's for dinner so the freezer will be raided when I get home.
Have a wonderful Wednesday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
