You know it's also worth noting some of us have better things to do with out time than read a whole thread for each topic, and it is OK to reply to the original question and the op can take it or not ;)
It's also worth noting telling people to read a whole thread is pretty bullyish trollish behaviour ;);)

I appreciate you have a busy life, but if you make a comment based on the first couple of posts on a thread with a postcount of >200, you risk missing important information, and therefore looking a bit foolish.

    OK - UPDATE.

Sorry - had to go quiet as it turned out that between 15 and 20 "rounds" in total were actually discharged in the general direction of the girls and by more than one of the boys. However it turns out that they thought it a toy and it was just a game to them.

Plod took their time on priority grounds although I have to say in a very efficient and caring way.

Final upshot is boys given serious horoscoping - lessons learned all round. Weapon voluntarily given up and has now been destroyed.

I am content with that. Thanks to all who contributed positively.

    Cheers

Thanks for coming back to update.
It certainly sound like the incident was more complicated and even more serious than you had initially been told.
I'm pleased everything was resolved to your satisfaction.

I think you have handled this with real objectivity, which is not easy when your own children are involved. Good on you all around :)
