Those fellow travellers whose wardrobe comes from Sports Direct, yet if they actually attempted a sporting activity other than lifting a pint glass at 5am at Heathrow they would keel over with a coronary.

I am always slightly envious of people with the good sense to travel comfortably tbh. I never have, keeping luggage light, wearing something i'll actually wear while away too, looking somewhat 'smart'. cannot imagine travelling in a track suit but I bet its comfortable!

    Pet hates for me;
Those annoying people who rush to the front of the que for budget flights. However i laugh when they realise that you then have to go on a bus to get to the plane and by being first on the bust they're last on the plane.

Being first in the que for boarding and then realising that you ave to get on a bus to the plane.

People who get on the plane and then can't decide where to sit so change seats a few times.

People without manners.. Seriously, you've just hit me with your suitcase.. you know you have now simply say sorry. This is my holiday too!

Hotel soaps. Who actually uses these?

Greedy people, usually seen at breakfast.

Just because it is there, does not mean that you can actually fit it into your stomach.

Then they walk away and leave far more food than they have eaten. Do this at home do you?

    Just thought of some more.

The Travel company reps who try to sell you overpriced coach trips to places you've never heard of but that you must go to because they're beeeeeautiful

The idiots who pay to go on the aforesaid overpriced coach trips.

People who you might politely say good morning to, who then seem to think that that makes you best friends for the whole holiday.

People who complain about their hotel or the food and seem to want it to spoil their holidays and try to include others in their moaning so that everyone has a miserable time.

This happens on beaches, too. I was once on a deserted beach in Northumberland with literally miles of clear golden sand and only about 5 or 6 families in total across the whole beach there - when another group appears and plonks themselves down about 5 yards away from us! Why?

And festivals! I've had some people set up their tent so close to ours it was actually on top of parts of it, and they had to have their door facings ours too which was a bit awkward. I tried to squirm out to go to the toilets at one point and they'd decided to sit right in front of our tent blocking it!

Anyway, travel-wise I can't stand having to gather up my possessions as quickly as I can when going through security and the desperate scramble to get on the plane, then off the plane, then be the first to get their luggage etc. I also hate kids kicking the back of my seat, people in front putting their chairs right back so they're resting on my knees, and people who moan the whole way there about babies making the slightest of noise and airplane food (although I realise the irony of me complaining about moaners right now!)

When people on the plane stand up in the gangways waiting to offload, I saw no point in that, and sat down reading my magazine until we could offload. The same thing annoys me when on the ferry when people corrugate near the stairs, and you can't go past them, so annoying. The funny thing is about the first option is that even though I was sitting down waiting I was one of the first off.

On that particular flight Thomson had gone to huge efforts to remove any comfort at all from the cabin, so a tracksuit wouldnt have helped much with the levels of comfort.

From years of practice I have learnt to travel very light for business travel and only take what will fit in the overhead bin.
  • I can't stand other peoples children, whether its because so many parents let them hunt in packs and take no notice whatsoever as they are on holiday or kicking the back of my seat or dropping food all over the floor at buffets

As someone with slightly impaired mobility, the time standing before walking reduces my discomfort, and increases my speed once starting to move considerably. :o. I do try and keep out of people's way and let other people up too.
